Guest Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Bloody hell! And I thought I was cynical! it's just a silly phase I'm going through
Traf Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 It's an ideal opportunity for us to thank him for contribution. Oh, and to see if he tells the ESL to fuck off again!
no balls Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Oh, and to see if he tells the ESL to fuck off again! I sort of liked that. I don't think I'm weird though at all.
Rembrandt Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 All of them. Really disappointed with this. A testimonial should not be a pre-season friendly rebadged as something it isn't. Hibs at home is nothing to get the Bolton public excited. What is called for is a Super John type testimonial match against the best of the rest from Jussi's 11 years at the club. Why not both ? Legends etc in a match kicking off at 1pm or 1:30pm. maybe 30 mins per half, then the Hibs friendly. Sorted !
BWFCOLINH58 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 this hibs fan is a bit clueless... Oh there are plenty. Happy to help out with Boozers. The town is 7 sheets in a taxi to the ground. Not sure about a pre season friendly but buses ship fans from all over Bolton to the Rebbok and back again for about 3 notes each way. There is a train station just outside the Reebok and trains run from the Town to the ground and from Lostock to the ground. There are lots of Boozers around the ground within a good wee walk from the stadium too. As I said, happy to sort out Boozers and entry with the local landlords.
Breightmet Boy Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Loyal servant, deserves some beer tokens me thinks
Guest squidgy66 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Len Cantello was ?350k in 1979 which by RPI equates to ?1.3 million now So by that logic David Jacks must be the first one over 10 grand in 1929 must be worth a mint now. First 5 figure transfer.
Guest squidgy66 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) Will it be before Arsenal snap him up There are probably some back of house politics going on. He undisputably one of the best goalkeepers in the premiership (if not the best - you can say what you want about the top 4 team's goalies, but look at the quality of their back four and the ratio of shots on goal that the goalkeepers have to save). It would seem very disrespectful to the fans if he agreed a transfer this summer Edited May 6, 2009 by squidgy66

Traf Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Only Scot Carson has made more Saves than Jussi this season Because they've had to! ie the defending in front of them has been poor.
frank_spencer Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Because they've had to! ie the defending in front of them has been poor. Aye but WBA have conceeded way more than us despite Carson makiong so many saves, let that be a lesson to all those who don't rate Jussi
Matt Lofthouse Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 It's an ideal opportunity for us to thank him for contribution. Oh, and to see if he tells the ESL to fuck off again! Traf -When was that and what for? How come Rickys not having a testimonial didnt he sign just after France 98?
Hankat Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 If it was away from home, it'd be a reasonable warm-up game. As it's a testimonial: it'll be a home game and that represents shit opposition for a home friendly. A bit disrespectful, I am sure Hibs will bring as many supporters as Bolton did when we played you in July 07 and may I remind you of the result Hibs 3 Bolton 0. Anyway hope to make a weekend of it with the family I am sure it will be a good day.

Hankat Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 surely you've visited us before with one of our various lancastrian nighbours? No. Have not attended any games in Lancashire. Stayed in Holiday Inn at Salford a few years ago and visited Old Trafford (sorry) on a non match day. Must say the Reebok looks good and I am looking forward to visiting it.

We had a decent following at easter road considering it was midweek, I hope you enjoy the trip to Bolton as much as we did the trip to Hibs, belting couple of days.
