amerste Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I agree it's a must win game, which is possible as long as we keep the same starting 11 from the City game. Just hope it gives the lads a bit of fire in their belly. I only hope if we score first we don't sit back and try and defend, which we can't do.

YATESY Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 0-0 the humour in that post is totally lost with it appearing on the top of page 2 rather than the bottom of page 1!
Ani Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 right you can hammer me for this but, we beat west ham at home last season 2-1 i think, we played 442 and they battered us, forget the score, they did batter us. i we play 2 up fron like we did on saturday i honestly think we will get beat. if gardener is fit i would play him ahead of klasnic, despite the 2 goals.....actually not sure i would. thinking about it i do not know our dest team, surely if klasnic scores 2 and is fit he has to play......
HomerJay Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 im going for 1-0 lee clean sheet? i doubt it very much i can see another draw on the horizon.

HomerJay Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 after seeing the stats for the game, im not sure cohen should be in the team. 7 passes (4 completed) to gareth barrys 40 (36 completed), although cohen did with 4 out 6 tackles. barry only won 1 tackle.
HomerJay Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 passes: 12 (9 completed) tackles: 6 (3 won) shots: 2 (0 on target) obviously stats can only show certain things, i dont have the distance covered and number of times he prevented the opposition attacking, which i think is huge part of muamba's game.
amerste Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Are you "Ste 'Amer" Or 'ammer Ste? Welcome, sir Thanks for the welcome. the ammer is part of the town name from which I now live, the ste part is obviously my name. Born in Bolton and followed the team throughout my youth at Burnden Park. Not yet visited the new stadium apart from the club shop, but still catch the odd away game.

You need to get to the Reebok while we are still int prem, dear boy
amerste Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Amersham? You need to get to the Reebok while we are still int prem, dear boy Too clever by half. Confident the Reebok will be there for along time along with the status of a premiership club. Keep the faith.
Rembrandt Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Cohen & Muamba (our midfield engine room) with a total of 19 passes attempted in the game ? Where the hell was the ball the rest of the game then ? Truly, statistics can show anything.

Does that easy pass to KD when he was going to be 1 on 1 with goalie yet wellied it too hard yet KD retrieved it count as a pass completed ?
MickyD Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Does that easy pass to KD when he was going to be 1 on 1 with goalie yet wellied it too hard yet KD retrieved it count as a pass completed ? No, they decided that it was actually a shot off target!
