Paul Daniels
Got dragged up on a London theatre stage with him many years ago. Very clever with his tricks and audience banter. Don't like speaking ill of the bloke but he annoyed the hell out of people while shopping in our local supermarket. He would get Debbie to go to customer service to announce over the pa system "could Paul Daniels please call at the service desk as his wife Debbie was looking for him". This happened on many occasions. They always say to keep your name in the limelight.

Klopp Hysteria....
But why the walk out? They must be able to claim within their benefits for the extra ticket prices.

Wanderers 3 Mk Dons 1
Chesham Utd from the southern premier league beat MK during the week, I know it was only a county cup game but MK fielded 9 professional players, (4-4 after extra time, won on pens). If we don't get points here we won't get them anywhere.

Fighting In Your Sleep
This is a few years ago. My youngest son who played semi pro football and unfortunately suffered night terrors charged over to the elder son slapping him and shouting " don't let them score". Worst night was when he put his leg through the double glazed window shooting at goal, poor lad finished up in surgery to put together his leg which had some horrific cuts. Thankfully he recovered to continue playing.

This Old Lady Who Killed Herself
My father in law lost his wife to cancer. The McMillan nurses were fantastic. He decided to donate an amount each month through direct debit. After two years he started to get phone calls at anytime between 8-30 & 9-30 in the evening pushing him to increase the donation, after numerous calls he stopped the direct debit altogether. Their loss.

I wish someone told us not to stop in Ocho Rios, stayed there for two weeks mid high season, rained every day with high winds. Won't be going back.

Remembrance Festival
A good few years ago a few of us did the trip over to Ypres and surrounding area to visit some of the battle fields, stood in those trenches and to see how close the enemy trenches were was unbelievable. We visited war graves even though none of us had relatives ( not known ) buried there. You can be as unemotional as you like in normal life but it brought a tear to my eyes. RIP to them all.

Should A 7Yr Old Get A Computer Tablet For Christmas?
My son & daughter in law are thinking of buying my grandson a tablet ( not the pill kind ) for Christmas, they say friends of his have them already, does this sound right? I know modern tech is used in schools nowadays but is 7 too young or am I too old?

When Numb Cunts Had Jobs.
Many years ago while concreting a driveway we had to replace a manhole cover, told the labourer to whip down the builders merchants to pick up a 5 ton cover, he replied he couldn't carry this as the van was only a 35cwt ( 35 hundred weight in old money ).

Back Operation
I've had it done, took a few weeks to fully recover but the pain relief from sciatica is well worth it. My back's still knackered but no leg pains. Suppose I'm lucky after falling off a three storey building.

Cheap Holiday Thread
I did Boa Vista a few years ago, it was hot but very windy. A/I was great with a good selection of spirits but the booze outside was expensive.

Food At This Time Of Year
Oh the memories of when the fair visited Bolton, sat on a wooden bench in the back of a canvas market type stall with a mug of hot black peas with my old dad. Parkin seemed compulsory around bonfire night, just can't get anything like it down south. Enjoy.

Goa
If there's a game on in Margao pronounced Margow get to it, last time I went cost about 35 rupee 35k Indians and us 2 slightly tanned guys had a great time, one of the bar/shack owners took us so worth asking around. The main city Panaji ( Panjim ) & Margao are worth a visit for a few hours. If you have a special good fitting shirt take it with you, you can have one of the tailors make shirts from silks & cotton fabrics from your copy for about £6-7. If your Mrs is into gold/diamonds this is the place to buy but haggle. Bought my Mrs a ring on our first visit many years ago for just over £300 had it valued on return just under 2k, but ask tourist if they have used the seller before. Do not go A/I better choice outside in the café bars. Going back for my 15th time In Jan.
