Make of it what you will. Personally i think Burnley have handled this very naively. Sit tight and we will get our man. All the information released has come from Burnley. Gartside has played this well, not only is he going to get us our dream man but he is also going to get him at a great price.

And an alternative view is if we roll over & throw money we don't need to (legally) at them hence reducing our transfer budget, a lot of Bolton fans are not going to be happy.

But if it does happen, and we have no Coyle because 2 million hasn't been paid, then IMO Gartside or whoever can shove it, He is Bolton's no.1 target, he wants to manage Bolton, the majority of the fans want Coyle, and there is huge optimism for what can happen, if this is taken away due to a couple of million then im sorry what is the point? Coyle has been left in limbo whilst it has taken 2 clubs 3 days to sort this out, it shouldn't take this long, just pay up and get your man.

I got told that kilby and flood fully expected coyle to turn us down as he turned Celtic down and never thought he would move to bolton after rebuffing Celtic. Anyways, welcome. [ i don't think we can get better/exciting then OC ] OC has left his job at Burnley to work for Bolton, he's left a little legacy he was making to come to Bolton, 1 million might be legally enough money to get him, however i would be prepared to give them 3.6 million and hope we can then start a new era under OC and earn some of that back with staying in the league or a goodish finish. I don't know if we will stay up under OC, but i think with squad and with his style we can, if we got someone else now it will be a body blow. Gartside had made 2 mistakes with Megson and Sammy Lee, he redeemed himself by getting rid of Megson and then going for OC, if it taken away because of a couple of million then not only is it not fair to Bolton fans , it's not fair to OC. I know Bolton have never had much money, but 2 million in football is very little, 4.5 million get's you Zat Knight for example
