October 25, 201312 yr Read the prequel to trainspotting called 'skagboys' a few month ago. Same as the others. Good book but bloody hard to get through because of most of it being written in a Scottish dialect. Went watching filth also last night. Really enjoyed it but obviously a lot missing from the book. Laughed every time mccavoy gave a sly look to the audience when he shafted someone. Saw that skagboys so had a quick look about what it was about. Seemed to suggest that Tommy was a bit of a druggie in the book but in the film trainspotting was portrayed as the clean living one till it went tits up with the video. Tried reading the book of trainspotting but after about five pages of dialect I thought fuck that and gave up, so did the film change the story a bit?
October 26, 201312 yr Didn't realise there was a green street 2 Thank fuck 1 is the best, and even that is dogwank, 2 is bad, and has 1 of the guys from 1 as the lead, 3 is just so bad, its beyond belief,
October 27, 201312 yr Over the last couple of nights I've watched I Spit On Your Grave 2 and also Odd Thomas. First one was pretty much along the lines of the first one but had that 'straight to DVD feel'. Note for the squeemish: You actually see a man's plums flattened in a vice. Odd Thomas was decent. Was done in a slightly off-beat way but I found it enjoyable. I've not read the book(s) mind. Read the books Trust me Just seen a trailer for Bad Grandpa, it looks piss funny
October 30, 201312 yr Just back from watching Captain Phillips, thought it was really good. Maybe a touch too long in the last third of it but I enjoyed it, lots of drama and tension, Hanks in the hunt for awards again.
October 31, 201312 yr Watched Bad Grandpa - very funny. The kiddy ride outside the shop made me actually laugh out loud and it's rare I do that. Also watched Black Fish (Blackfish?). Extremely good but very sad.
October 31, 201312 yr World War Z - really enjoyed it - 8.5 Alpha Papa - some good bits but doesn't hit the heights of the 30min episodes - 7 The Internship - 5 Now You See Me - thought it was just daft - 5 Ironman 3 - 5 Edited October 31, 201312 yr by magic legs
November 1, 201312 yr Author Managed to see White House Down last night..... easy viewing. Not bad 6/10. Typical American cheese. I need a list of good films to watch.

Not read Skagboys yet, read Trainspotting and Porno, currently reading If You Liked School You'll Love Work. Tommy was clean living, the Archie Gemmel/sex tape incident was when his life started to go wrong.
November 3, 201312 yr We're the millers Easy watch and aanything with Jennifer Aniston as a stripper gets my vote. Watching this is the end tonight
November 3, 201312 yr Author Watched "The Iceman" last night. True story. Was ok. Another 6/10. Like the fact Michael Shannon was given a lead role. By christ he's a scary looking bloke. A modern day "Jaws / Richard Kiel". Played a good part. Not quite sure why James Franco was in the film. Would love to know how much he got paid for his 5 minute part. Waste of a good actor, surely an extra could've filled that part. Ray Liotta was back to his usual gangster role.
November 3, 201312 yr Author Just watched Silver Linings Playbook and in a gayer way thoroughly enjoyed it How funny was the scene when DeNiro raced around to the neighbours house? I think I actually wet myself during that part. Very very funny.
