Recent Filums I've Watched

Book of Eli - Denzel Washington - took two attempts to watch it all the way through - a bit of a duff Mad Max type film. Watchable. 4/10

Green Zone - Matt Damon - enjoyed it, always like films based out in Middle East, etc. 7/10

Planet 51 - was enjoying it til I nodded off, kids liked it - must be good. 6/10

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - see above - 6/10

Good Will Hunting - Matt Damon/Robin Williams - look, there was fook all else on this Saturday just gone, never seen it before - quite enjoyed - the scene were Robin Williams was going on about his late wife farting in bed had me in tears - half decent. Oh, and Minnie Driver looked far better than I can ever remember. 7/10

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - its Swedish so no famous actors/actresses - great thriller - didn't bother me that it was in subtitles great revenge scene on the pervy Probation Officer- looking forward to the 2nd in the trilogy in the next week or so - well worth the watch and highly recommended. 9/10

That's me, Jonathan Woss, over and out.

Selma is a good watch too. Remarkable how these events were just 50 years ago.

I'm not the crying type, but I shed a tear at that. It's unbelievable that the Nun's actions were the norm, at that time.

Pixar's new film Inside Out on showbox.

Deffo too deep to be aimed at kids, but pretty enjoyable.

Cross of Honour, decent 7/10.

I might have posted about this before, but just re watched the French thriller "Tell No One" I cannot tell WWyer's how much they should watch this French subtitled film. Its the dogs bollocks!

Went to see Ted 2 the other night. Not exactly side splitting but enough funny moments to keep it going. Reckon it's better than the first one.

Watched it, brilliant film! Some of the best films I've watched are in subtitles.

Another fantastic film in subtitles is "The secret in their eyes", it is an Argentinian film that won numerous awards.

Watched The Experiment the other day. I thought it was very gay.

Montage of Heck - last night - 6/10

Soaked in Bleach - tonight - 8/10

First one is more for Nirvana purists. Second one is all about the cover-up of Cobain's murder. Nothing much new if you've already read the books.

Watched the new Mad Max last night. Not Much of a storyline or owt but really enoyed it.

I watched a film called Scum last night, (1979) Not for the faint of heart, but very gripping. 10/10

50 Shades of Grey. 2/10. If she'd had bigger tits it may have scraped a 3.

Possiblibly one of the most over hyped films of the year. Absolutley nothing to titilate the audience, male or female. :)

I thought it was hilarious, and yeah definitely better than the first one.

Just watched ex machina thought it was ok 7/10

Ray Winstone ...who's the Daddy ?  A classic.

Agree. The scene in the sperm bank had me crying in laughter.

'Chef' - 7/10 good feel good film, should be more foody type films.

'Spy' - 7/10 really funny, I love that fat bird.

That's the one. A film which doesn't require any music or sound effects to make it believable. Scum is not a film for the faint of heart. Made me wonder how true to life it was and if it was, did the regime do what it was supposed to. As in, punish the young offender?

The book works miles better

Was always going to be a tough adaptation but I don't think they quite nailed it

Been to see No Escape tonight. Torn somewhere between it being bullshit and completely believable. No idea why Owen Wilson has to whisper half of the time in whatever role he plays.
