Spider Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I've never watched a modern era comic book film. Men in Lycra undies seems a bit odd to me. But I like Star Wars, so don't kick me out of Nerd Club. Quote

But I like Star Wars, so don't kick me out of Nerd Club. Does watching comic book films still make you a nerd nowadays though? They're the biggest box office films in Hollywood. And do real nerds actually realise they are nerds? I suspect not. I'm not sure anybody who claims to be a nerd can actually be a nerd? It's a bit like if you're going mad. Quote
Con Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Horror films terrify me, they are really hard to wank to. Have a look around for one called "Black Candles" Quote
Zico Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I have never seen a 'comic book' film that I'd give more than a 4/10. And they just keep on making more and more of the bastards. Kick Ass? Quote
kent_white Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Kick Ass? I've seen it but I can't really remember anything about it so I can't have enjoyed it that much. V for Vendetta and the first Blade were ok I suppose - but I'm more on about the superhero type ones. Quote
stevieb Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Spotlight. Fucking hell, I'm glad I didn't go to a Catholic school,oh, hang on.... Quote

Watched Room tonight, I imagine it's nailed on for Best Female Actor at the Oscar's, really enjoyed it but the Mrs found it a bit uncomfortable at times Quote

Quote
frank_spencer Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Best thing about Captain America is Peggy Carter. Iron man 3 is much better than 2. The avengers films are Joss Wheddon so are as brilliant as most of his other stuff. Quote
deane koontz Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Watched Gravity the other day because i got mixed up and thought it was The Martian, realised later and ended up watching them both and liking them. Thinking about watching Interstellar next to keep up the space theme but I've heard it's confusing and I'm easily confused, imma be a brave boy and try it though. Quote
DIPS Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Interstellar was fucking rediculous. It tried too hard to be cleaver. Way too long too . Other movies have done the same theme much better. Quote

seasoned Traveller Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Whilst flicking through the channels the other week I found Battleship with Rhianna, what a film, those special effects were belting, bit far fetched at the end, but those aliens were dead real. Quote
