Mike Riley tries to redeem himself ....

Good watch.

Riley couldn't redeem himself if he presented me with the proceeds of the Brinx-Mat robbery. In cash.

The thing Wolves fans forget is Kelly should have been sent off as well as he pushed McGinlay in the face

Plus it was 1-0 at the time, let's say McGinlay does get sent off and we keep it at 1-0

We still go through

They make it sound like he dived to win a penalty for the match winning goal

On away goals?

Sure the Barry Knight game was the first time away goals wasn't used in the play offs...

Aye

The EFL chairman was also the Ipswich chairman scrapped away goals after they lost to us the season before on them

And that was because it was the 3rd season in a row they'd lost in the semis 2nd out of 3 they lost on away goals

So at the 4th attempt after scrapping away goals I'm still certain he made sure they had extra help from the ref

Yep

They scrapped the away goals rule the season before the Barry Knight game after Ipswich lost out on away goals

Their chairman at the time was David Sheepshanks who was high up in the football league so no coincidence at all

Don't you dare post that video 😃

The issue with that game was not the cards we got. Can't argue with most of them. It was the cards Ipswich didn't get.

Whitlow knew exactly what he was doing when pretending to fall over

He did similar at Cambridge in the cup earlier that season and got a yellow, which could easily have been red

It was never a red that night though

Aye, the players lost their heads because players like Magilton were going round doing what they wanted and getting away with it whereas he couldn't wait to blow up against us

He reffed it in a way that gave Ipswich all the momentum

And yet if Jensen scores in that one on one at the death we go through

I got talking to a steward in the stand late on into that game. He was not an Ipswich fan. As a neutral even he was dumbfounded on how that game mapped out. Before, during and after that match the whole evening had evil in the air.

The journey back from the Oxford playoff match was one of my worst. But it was nothing compared to that Ipswich game.

I lived in Norfolk at the time

Knew Norwich fans and so a few accused them of cheating

But even the level headed ones were puzzled

I had to share an office with an Ipswich fan the next day

Not pleasant
