I didn't do too many overnighters them days, usually a day trip with Walkden Whites, some absolute classic days with them, Happy Al's, Toddington Gallon, naked bar diving, happy days

I still lived at home with my parents back then. The first match was on a Sunday. I remember going home after the first game at Burnden as pissed off as pissed off could be. Opportunity missed. I stomped off upstairs and put a Pink Floyd album on and didn't emerge until Monday...... still pissed off!

The British Pathe website is well worth a look not only for football.
