The one shirt missing from my collection

Play off semi at Wolves is one that always springs to mind. Must have been loads of games moved to a Sunday in 96/97 too. Myth that it’s a recent phenomenon.

Im sure its been discussed on here before that kit, it was a one off wasnt it? Damn I loved our away kits in the 90s.

Cant actually remember many live games from 96/97 bar the Tranmere one. QPR away?

I think WBA and Swindon away were both live and both 2-2. Come to think of it I think Barnsley away was also live and that also was a desmond.

Barnsley away on Sky on the Friday, and also Sheff Utd? WBA home and away were both Sunday on Granada along with Swindon away. Possibly missed one or two others.

Sheff Utd away was a Friday night as was Charlton for the last game at Burnden

so after I watched the AI video that Gonzo posted in the other side of the board

YouTube for some reason gave me this video next

which took me down memory lane

random quiz question

the 3rd goal, McGinlay away at Millwall

it was on a Sunday on TV

something very important was also happening on that Sunday, in terms of being a BWFC fan

what was it?

What was the answer to this?

Other games I remember being live on. Sunday were Tranmere at home when we beat the cunts 2-0 and ruined the minutes silence for Matt Busby.

Simon Coleman getting his leg broke at Derby too.

And the Forest 4-3

was the same day we queued up for Coca Cola cup final tickets

got there about 6am straight off the back of a night shift at Tesco

remember coaches left for Millwall about 7am or something

I presume anyone who went were guaranteed a ticket for the final

was home in time to watch it ko at 12pm

Agree completely Ronnie. You can see Sharon’s character there once again, for me she’s 100% genuine. It’s good to hear that they’re both saying something “great” is happening at the club. Memories fade with time and it’s easy to become blasé about things. I watched the “ Big Sam’s Bolton” programme recently and it wowed me. It reminded me of just how great that period of our history was. For our club to attract those players and achieve the things we did was truly PHENOMENAL.
Seeing John McGinlay reminded me of his era too, he was a true warrior. Whenever we had a big game and we had many during that time, whenever we needed a goal, he’d pop up and bag it. If a prime John McGinlay was in our current squad we wouldn’t be scrapping for the play offs, we’d be out in front of Lincoln.
We’ve had our wobble, I was at Port Vale and witnessed its pinnacle. (fellow sufferers watch the above videos - they help 👍🙂
I’m proud to be a Wanderer and wouldn’t swap it for anyone or anything, I hope SB and J Mc are both correct, something great is happening and another memorable era is on the way.
It started at Plymouth and continues tomorrow against the Stockport hat makers.

I would say to any BWFC fan, myself included, that when/if we have a wobble on the run in that we would do well to revisit this video.

Her voice just irritates me.
