Guest bwfcdan Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Someone know something that we dont? Dont remember seeing Coyle's odd's being that low? To be honest, he'd be daft to go to Villa. Sideway's move http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/aston-villa-specials/next-permanent-manager

jazza Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Villa are a "bigger club" than Bolton but he would be fuckin stupid to move there I my opinion

white -50 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 No fookin chance he will go to villa............... Will he Don't think so.there's still work in progress to be done.
Breightmet Boy Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Rafa Benitez ain't going now, talks have broken down. Sky Sports News just now
superjohnmcginlay Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Villa given permission to speak to Martinez Bet the villa fans are loving that
dave2980 Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Bet the villa fans are loving that Watching SSN and the most positive comment so far has been "At least it's not McLaren"
Guest Blixa Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 On the plus side, more money for Martinez to spend on Al Habsi.
passmosster Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Villa given permission to speak to Martinez The Guardian says Coyle is second to Martinez on the wanted list. That must do his ego good.
Zico Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 the villa board really don't appear to know what they are doing they should've gone for mclaren
desert Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 the villa board really don't appear to know what they are doing they should've gone for mclaren i happen to agree.
no balls Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 the villa board really don't appear to know what they are doing they should've gone for mclaren And a fine Brummie accent he'll have come mid August. Bless him.
Guest bwfcdan Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 the villa board really don't appear to know what they are doing they should've gone for mclaren When have they ever known what they we're doing though to be honest. Only decent manager they've had in recent times was O'neill and they ended up blowing it with him.
superjohnmcginlay Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 There were a few of em on talksport wanting ancellotti or the fat waiter of Spanish variety, I saw Coyle was mentioned on twitter, if Martinez goes would McClaren goto Wigan!
no balls Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 the fat waiter of Spanish variety, Discounted now as they wouldn't agree on transfer budgets.
DazBob Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 If Martinez joping Villa then potentially great news for us. Villa need a new 'keeper and Martinez wants Al Habsi. Villa will pay us more than Wigan would've. ... also means that the pie-eaters are more likely to get relegated next season I reckon. Everyone's a winner.
superjohnmcginlay Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Discounted now as they wouldn't agree on transfer budgets. It's a sad state if a manger won't manage because of a transfer budget
MalcolmW Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Allegedly it was vitriolic negative internet comments by fans which caused Lerner to drop his interest in McClaren (note unusual spelling). All of those will have been based on media comment about his time as England manager. As a coach he has always been top class. As a club manager he has a decent record. Villa's loss IMO. Agree that if Martinez goes, Wigan are strong relegation candidates!
Guest Biff Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 I wouldn't have thought that Coyle would meet Villa's criteria. He is not yet a proven Premiership manager.
