Given that OC has worked with both Eagles & Mears, he knows what they can do & he's backed his judgement with cash. I for one know little about either player, but I do rate OC. So lets see how they do for us next season & if they prove to be ballons, far enough they deserve to be slagged off, but for Christ sake let give them tha change & stop this depressing negativity. I for one think getting 2.2 mill for Taylor is great business and Eagles was allegedly wanted by other prem clubs. Good solid signing in my opinion. Unless people think we should be paying Swp 60000 a week

Take Hunt Off Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Burnley finished 8th in the Championship; they're light years away from our standard Can't be positive about these at all I'm afraid light years i dont think so , we were relegation fodder from christmas onwards people need a reality check our players with a couple of exceptions are very average so we had all better get used to 'improving' our squad with some championship players plus a couple of continental inports of the more expensive but risky variety & loan deals the key here is we are not going to be paying the excessive wages of the past so top quality is not going to be brought in unless we get lucky with younger players who will also have good sell on potential.

But the whole point is that we went backwards after the semi final, and since then we have done nothing in my eyes to improve the squad to stop this happening again.
