The solution is for Owen Coyle to change his formation and his phillosophy until LCY and Holden are back, Robinson needs to be dropped, we should look at the best players to play in a 4-3-3 4-5-1 for

  • The really scary thing is....that to me that is fucking obvious...

Robinson regularly gets skinned and all teams aim down his side now theyve clicked on.

easy way to feck up a game plan..

Start someone else !!

Coyle needs to start dropping players when they play shite. A bit of competition in the squad makes players work harder although i realise at the moment be have been pretty fecked over by injuries. Which is why im giving Coyle the benefit of the doubt for now.

He has in a way

Muamba

K.Davies

Knight

Next should be K.Davies again and Robinson.

Sven...

Sven...

I reckon he'll be "spotted in Blackburn" soon.

Sven won't go anywhere where the transfer budget is zero. That rules out both us and t'Rovers.

As long as it rules us out then, I'm happy. :good:

One bit of a saving grace IMO for Coyle. Losing 2 of our 3 best players meant that we were always going to struggle, it's like Villa losing Agbonlahor and Bent, or Swansea losing Dyer and Sinclair, and not just for a few weeks but pretty much the whole season. A team of:

------------Jussi

Boyata Cahill Wheater Ricketts

------Reo Coker Holden

Lee M.Davies/Tuncay Kakuta

------------N'Gog

looks a million times better than what we throw together at the moment, and thats just 3 names out.

Thing is Coyle has a complete inability to try and cope with these injuries, and like so many others have said he has no tactics to get the best out of the players that we have available.

Why it took so long to drop Knight for the clearly better Wheater, why Robinson still hasn't been dropped, why he continues to try and protect the weak link of Robbo with Petrov infront of him, why K.Davies hasn't been placed into retirement/benched, why M.Davies hasn't been given a fair chance, why Muamba has been dropped completely and made a scapegoat, and why the fcuk he won't change the formation to OBVIOUSLY suit the players that we currently have available are all questions that I'd love to here his answers to.

He's got to make changes and soon, otherwise I'll be in the "quite happy to see him go" camp.

12 players is probably our best chance of a result at the minute.

The solution for me is sticking with Coyle.

Yes there are criticisms, all of which have been aired, some which are valid. I think Coyle acknowledges this and is trying harder than anyone to put it right. It so easy from the sidelines to "assess" what you think the problems are, when none of us are aware of the full picture - the physical and mental state of the lads in preparation for a game, the character of the group, how they have worked in training and much more. After a defeat and a bad run it's the easiest thing in the world to say all they do is play head tennis all week, the side should change, this player isn't good enough etc etc. In the lead up to the Sunderland game and talking to folk after the Wigan result the consensus seemed to be the only player who perhaps hadn't earned the shirt for the Sunderland game was K. Davies, everybody else warranted selection. But after the game plenty of talk is about how the side needs to change.

I think Coyle must be as frustrated as anyone that certain individual players don't seem to be able to perform consistently, aka Eagles, Petrov. I think he has also been extremely unfortunate to lose our 2 most creative players in Holden and Chungy. Could he have addressed this any better in the transfer window? I am not sure with the finances at hand he could have done. Bringing Reo-Coker, Tuncay and Pratley on free's is ok. Mears, Eagles and Ngog were picked up comparatively cheaply and bringng in decent money for Taylor and Al Habsi was probably a necessity. I am sure he would have loved to have splashed out on more quality and I am sure that he didn't think he would have to count on certain players to be the main stay of the team such as Eagles and Pratley, these could have been used, as has been seen with Eagles all his career, as useful squad players who can come on and make a difference every now and again.

My honest opinion is that we will be in a relegation struggle all season, anything else would be nice surprise. I wasn't saying this before the injuries, but I honestly believe they have depleted us as a team considerably. Coyle has to take responsibility for getting the best out of this group of players and the debate is whether he can and what the potential is if he can. This is the first time Coyle has been faced with adversity in his managerial career, ALL good and great managers face times like this. IMO it would be totally and utterly foolish to get rid of him. I totally disagree that somebody else could get the best out these players he has brought in and knows well. It's not going to be easy and there's going to be some tough times and more defeats to come. But for me success would be staying up this year and Coyle can and will do that. And controversially even if we did go down, he would be the man to bring us back.

fuck...i wish i had coyles e mail adress....

im coming to the conclusion he is just plain thick...

Even if Coyle goes, no fucker would come here. No money, shit support and a bunch of m0ngs as a reception committee if your face doesn't fit. Can Sandy step up to the plate?

dont agree, the club would be snowed under with cv,s from out of work managers.but heres hoping it do snt come to that.

Oh I'm sure there's thousands of failed lower league managers that would love a go. So what?

I bet he isn't as keen for another happy clappy meet the fans, questions and answers forum.

Oh I'm sure there's several lower league managers that would love a go.

Minor adjustment, Carlos.

Maybe like O'Neill, Moyes, Redknapp, BSA ....... all from lower league clubs at one point.

Too early to get rid of OC, but his time to prove he's up to the job is running out - that is if ED wants to keep us a Prem club.

But if ED knows he can handle the finances of a relegation, then maybe he'll keep OC regardless.

Or just stubborn/set in his ways?

I think he's similar to Roberto Martinez in a way. He has his principles on how a team should play ... and he sticks to them.

Rather than admit something isn't working or that he doesn't have the personnel necessary, he simply thinks/believes/hopes that hard work and passion will make it work.

.. which is probably why we're two of the bottom three teams in the Barclays Premier League.

Add Steve Kean to that mix and you've really got a point.

I'm getting the word: denial.

KD played that 5 years ago my take is that he no longer has the legs or fitness or touch to play that role in short I would only ever give him 20 minutes as a sub as nuisance value, BWFC has had 3-4 years to get a replacement KD we all knew this day was coming and we have failed miserably to get a KD mark 2 that might come to bite us on the arse.

Agree - SKD doesn't seem to have the pace or stamina this season.

From the performance at Wigan Eagles did well coming back and going forward and he is more consistant than some are saying on here.

The only problem with Ngog on his own up front is that I dont believe he can hold the ball up (like SKD used to do all the time). We need someone just off him linking with the defensive two; someone with an engine like Holden - Pratley has the engine but not the quality. I would give Tuncay a chance in this role

Agree with all that ...... except the 'hard work' bit.

I'm sure they work in training, but come match day there's little sign of any 'hard work' on organisation, awareness, defending as a team, dead ball situations (attacking & defending) etc.

I think OC's watchwords must be attack and passion. Neither of which are much good without the ball and/or when shipping goals at our end.

Funny that because I think N'Gog holds it up very well

He's just not your typical target man so folk don't tend to notice it

there was improvement in the defence on saturday, every time the makems got a corner nrc was trying to organise the defence.
