worthy10 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 You have seen today that: Robinson, wheater, pratley, Riley and Sad to say k. Davies are not good enough- past it. These players have been tried and failed. Riley is young and may have a future the others are either young but are not good enough. There were few that came out of today's game with praise. NRC and Mavis only. So annoying to see the same players making the same errors or being totally out of their depth all over again. Pratley not good enough. Wheater not good enough. Robinson not good enough. K. Davies not good enough. It's not just me, it's a common held belief. Quote
HomerJay Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Klasnic could have a had trick without breaking sweat Jsl Quote
SpiritofBurnden Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Riley has only started four first team games and Wheater has been out for the last four games but don't let that stop you writing them both off. Quote
Casino Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 You have seen today that: Riley is not good enough i didn't read past that as my horseshit detector kicked in Quote

And what did Riley do wrong today, the team that started had no fucking pace, as soon a Davies came on that changed, we had some one thaty would run at players canb pass a ball, before that we had fuck all Quote
worthy10 Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 Riley has potential, but the point i'm making is he isn't 1st team choice because he has been tried and failed along with the others quoted. And it showed Quote
Casino Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 no, it didn't show his first game for six weeks and our best player until mark davies arrived Quote
SpiritofBurnden Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Riley has potential, but the point i'm making is he isn't 1st team choice because he has been tried and failed along with the others quoted. And it showed Failed? When? He was one of our better players today. He hasn't done much wrong in the other games he's started either. Quote

And it showed Hes been tried and failed, how so, didn't put a foot wrong today, first time I've seen him play, did nothing outstanding but did his job, which is to defend and that he did well so for the time being he will do for me Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I think instead of 'Failed' you mean 'injured'. it's an easy mistake to make. Quote
HomerJay Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I thought Riley did ok. I do like the fact that he crosses the ball with pace and whip rather than just floating it into the box Quote
superkev Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 You can see that some players obviously don't give a fuck and Coyle knows this. I would rather have players who give a fuck and get relegated than piss poor couldn't be bothered anymore players Quote

bulldog Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Definitely agree re Robbo, SKD & Pratley. Posted on separate thread re Robbo that he should never be picked it again, he is absolute dog shit. Sad to see the demise of SKD he has gone so far off the boil & offers very little, not sure many Championship teams would have him in their first 11. Pratley has been a real letdown, was shite again today. Worried about Wheater looks capable of getting sent off in every match, assuming Cahill goes need a replacement quick, Wheater does not look the answer. Quote
sirnatlofty Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 how can riley be "not good enough- past it" after four 1st team games. One of those games was against stoke, and he marched on the pitch a right back and walked off as a god. No player can prove their worth in 4 starts. Quote
superkev Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 which ones don't care? I'm sure Coyle has mentioned previously that only players who want to play for the club will play and that's why some people have questioned his team choices. Quote
SalfordOriginal Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Based on today's performance means nothing! The same arguement could potential be used at some of the players mentioned across the start of this season, but not on today Its what makes the romance of the cup I am afraid, and strange that after our success in this comp from the lower divisions that some of our fans need reminding of this. Players do get complacent and de-motivated when playing against lower league opposition. They shouldnt but they do and not just at Bolton. We wouldnt have had the Whitehot years without todays effect being present back then with our opposition! We were really not on the same level as Arsenal, Everton, Villa, Liverpool, Wolves, Oldham in terms of playing ability but the FA Cup factor comes into it. We showed enough to see the team are still willing to dig in when its needed which was a positive to take away Quote
MickyD Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 You have seen today that: Robinson, wheater, pratley, Riley and Sad to say k. Davies are not good enough- past it. Riley put some fucking great blocks in today. Definately earned his pay with a very early one. Quote
magic legs Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Lawro picked out Riley today as looking very promising Quote
richbwfc Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Riley was one of the better players today. Some great blocks on more than one occasion. Quote
Ben Der Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Riley earned his crust today and Mavis made the difference. When he came on we looked totally different. Klasnic should have squared the one he hit at the keeper, great control but shite vision I also thought petrov missed rickets. Robbo is shit and petrov knows he can't bomb forward with him at left back. Quote
no balls Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 We had Riley as an early MOM today. Happen it was a different game. Quote
