Butterfly Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Pratley seems to have been written off as a waste of space judging by some of the posts on here, unfairly I think. He has not found his role and has looked uncomfortable, particularly in centre midfield. However, if you speak to Swansea fans (I am based in south Wales) they rate him highly and they don't look a bad side to me with plenty of good footballers. Before he fell out of favour there over contract problems he was a real factor in swansea's progress. I think he will improve significantly in the second half of the season and will start to chip in with a few goals. I will probably be laughed off the site but he has got energy and gets in scoring positions nearly every time I've seen him. Cue abuse! Good post. There are a lot of people who don't understand that some players take a while to get used to the pace of the Premier League. It might even be next season before Pratley comes good. It's way too early to write him off yet.The difference between Okocha in his first half season and his second half season was amazing. tarian1979 Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 He may come good next season if we go down, playing against barnsley, palace etc is probably his level Quote

If you think we can afford for Pratley to only come good next season then you're on the evo-stick. And for the record, okocha took about five weeks to get up to speed with the premier league, not five months. Quote

He was poor again on Saturday, however I am still not convinced he is as bad as he is showing, seems to be lacking confidence and match practice and looking like he aint settled yet, still going to give him time before completely writing him off, seems Coyle also keeps giving him the chance so might be showing glimpses of true form in training. Butterfly Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Okocha came good in about 2 months ( spurs away) That was in Okocha's second season which proves my point if you think Okocha only came good the day Bolton won 1-0 at Tottenham. Quote

SalfordOriginal Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Don't be daft, we'll not drop out of the Championship. Especially not with Coyle in charge as he becomes tactically aware in that division automatically Quote
onefinfrandsen Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 In the championship? could be, but would that be because of him. Quote
