Sweep Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Just watching on the TV now. How shit are this lot? One game took 54 darts! Even the commentators said it was poor. I presume these clowns get no more than ?5K prize money, they are shitter than shit Quote
Traf Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I've just watched that 54 dart leg in amazement. About 18 darts between them at double 1 alone! Quote

Sweep Posted January 8, 2012 Author Posted January 8, 2012 (edited) Widders, Who the chuff are "The Popes" they are touring around here soon and they reckon they support The Stranglers on a regulars basis. Have you heard of them? - are they any good? Edited January 8, 2012 by CWP Quote
L/H White Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Get about 50k for winning this shite. Standard is shocking. Only a few which could potentially make the top 32 in the PDC. Quote
jazza Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 54 darts is truly embarrassing! i would have a good chance of doing that with my left hand Quote

Maggie Tate Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Oh it's the BDO, I thought it was the paralympics Quote
gonzo Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 its like watching womens football for me. i just cant take it seriously. Quote

Snow_white Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 So the BDO is like the non-league of darts when compared to the PDC, i really enjoy the darts but don't know much about the different organisations. Quote

Not many full timers in this like PDC players. Very high standard super league players, IMO. Actually some look very ordinary pub players this year. Edited January 10, 2012 by bwfcryan86 Quote
MOOSE36 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 they are shyte. In our darts team last night we had lads winning in 11, 2 took 15 and 1 was 18. Bar for nerves when you hear "game on" there are some top pub players in the north west as some good tournaments. We holding one in our club on march 4th with the winner getting ?600. Not life changing money but for 4/5 hours on a sunday not bad at all Quote
Snow_white Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Are there any proffesional darts players from Bolton? We have Dave Chisnall who lives in Morecambe but was born and bred in St Helens. Quote
maje Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Paul Williams, les fitton, Steve coote are the only ones I can think of that have played on tv that are from Bolton none of them full time pros, although fitton gave Phil Taylor a bit of a scare years ago in one tv tournament. Paul Nicholson lives in horwich/chorley way and matt Clarke lives in Bolton but neither of them originally from here. John part bases himself in Bolton when playing in a lot of tournaments in England. In fact he was officially signed on for one of the teams in the little lever league, think he only played once for them though. Quote
