they really dont know any boundaries do they?

two houses near me had external gas pipes stripped from the back of the house causing a massive gas leak the other day.

all the old fat and oils that get drained from the shams in the pubs kitchen gets put in giant tubs and this firm come and collect it for it to be recycled.last week they bust the yard doors in and nicked the lot... apparently it can be used to make diesel...

and today on whats meant to be day off,im filling a skip full of the boozers old tellys, washing machines, bashed in beer barrels and such like.....i shouldnt have fucking bothered ordering the skip.im just watching now as three blokes are stood in the skip tearing a clothes maiden apart.id not even made my second trip back to the skip and they were there!

rats the lot of em.

First thing is bang out of order, theiving pricks !

With the skip thing though you can't begrudge someone for taking stuff thats gona be thrown out if there gona use it. When i worked at Sainsbury's i saw a lad skipping some perfectly good packaged sandwitches and veg from the supermarket bin. Made me think fair play to the lad as he's saving good food bein thrown in a landfill.

I've met some reet nasty Gypsies in my time, the way some make their 5 year old children beg on the streets till 5am in cities makes my fukin blood boil. its child abuse.

The stereotype that their all vermin is bollocks though, met some lovely Irish travellers on a site they had bought in the summer. The kids all went to a local school and the community was a close-knit and friendly one. All they wanted was a bit of land to hold their park their caravans, hold their community together and educate their children. If only all Gypsies were like that.

So, when are they starting to build houses on it then?

I made the fatal mistake of placing my trust in two fecking pikeys once, don't tar with the same brush and all that - they left me ?300 lighter...

The worst thing about it was, they could've actually earned the money they relieved me of, it probably would've took less time and trouble, plus they wouldn't be on my shitlist either.

And NB is right, how are they 'travellers' when they have static caravans? T'other Youri, get thee sen to Hall lane or near the arches up Tonge Moor and ask for some advice on moving into the area - see what the response is.

Oh aye, they call us house-dwellers 'worjas' and take the piss out of us for being 'poor' - as in keeping money in banks rather than in wedges of used twenties, and being 'captive' - as in living within bricks and mortar and (relatively) within the law.

They bought planning permision and have caravans and challets there.. If its there land whats the problem?? If you dont want a brick and mortor lifestyle then you've the right to choose otherwise so long as you abide by the laws.

They'll build houses & the poor fuckers in the same area who paid full whack for theirs will then be in negative equity. Don't be naive.

A an aside, how do they travel in a chalet?

Anybody on here been to Appleby Horse Fair, good craic , if you keep your wits about yer.

Friend of mine had a pub at Appleby. She dreaded the horse fair period. Made plenty money over the bar but lost it again by damage, theft and the like.

Somehow the local agreed to let gypos have a wedding reception in the pub. Locals left when the kids started throwing pool balls around about 6pm then they robbed the place at 4am the next morning. Got ?1200 but wanted to know where the other ?800 was as they said they spent over ?2k behind the bar.

Should have checked the landlord's jeans by the side of the bed you numpties!

Other funny was when gypo kids broke into the yard of the stepson's courier business. Picked the 4 digit padlock no problem and the little fuckers took great pride when I got down there to tell me the combination. Doesn't take a lot fair play but shitting in the yard takes the piss especially with no sight of bog roll.

Bought a new key padlock but couldn't open one of those sealed packages. One of the gypo parents came out apologising about the kids saying he had no control. Asked him to borrow some scissors and he came back out of the caravan with a big fuck off knife! Only had one finger left on each hand and couldn't manage to break the package open but did let me borrow the knife.

Same day went back to give the yard the once over to find out all the caravans had gone. They left 2 little kids behind about 3 and 5 who said they had to learn how to find their parents. Poor fuckers. Drove off to and found gypos a couple of miles away. Went back and took the kids close by before dropping them off and disappearing quick.

God knows what would have happened if they'd seen me with the kids in the car but couldn't leave them in the middle of nowhere at that age.

Hate gypos.

If they paid for the land and planning permission then by law they can have on it static caravans and other one story houses which you can move on big trucks. ( I used the word challet before because i dont know their real name.) Anyhow my point is if its your land and property then you have the right to live on it in whichever way suits you within limts.

I'm not being naive, i agree that with most Gypsies the problem is their total disregard for other communities, not that they choose to live in caravans or that they live a cheaper lifestyle. If i lived in a big house i wouldn't be jelous of people living a little cheaper in caravans. Although land and planning permission can cost upto the price of a house.

To answer Casino's point i just dont see taking trash as theft. Rotting in a landfill or being used by someone else which means less hassle for the council. I know which one i prefer. Check out freecycle.com

And to Fred's Dad, not that wasn't Dale Farm, it was a small site east of Inverness. I spent a summer working on a farm near there and did deliveries to the site. They were a nice bunch and were well intergrated with the locals. The residents of Dale Farm made little effort to do either and practically drove all the local kids out of their own primary school. Could of been done cheaper but im glad that site has gone now.

As expressed before I have alot of issues with Gypsies regarding child abuse, disregard for others, the law and the environment. However I stand by my point that not every single gypsy community is vermin

Last time i was there, two years ago , some of the pubs were shut anyway, by order of the Police.

Just a experience to see another culture , whether you like them or not.

We got mither a while ago for constantly refering to these things as portacabins. Portacabin, a manufacturer of these things took umbrage to the fact that every time one set on fire it was always said to be a portacabin.

Proper kicked off about it and threatened to sue unless we refered to them as portable accomodation units. Soft cunts.

Are you the person who complained to the CRE* about Viz running an (unfunny) strip entitled 'The Thieving Gypsy Bastards' years ago Youri?

To maintain fairness Viz ran another strip called 'The Nice, Honest Gypsies' in the next issue.

*Although how most self-styled 'gypsies' can be classed as a 'race' is lost on me. Dirtiness does not constitute a different shade of skin colour.

Do you know the area round Limbrick? If so, you're probably best avoiding it with talk like that, you may be lynched.

Age will mature that young idealistic naivete my friend. Many posters are speaking from years of experience. Why do you think the 'travellers' are classed as 'undesirables' in virtually every country they infest?
