  • I won't shed a tear if Rangers go bust, I just hope Celtic have the good grace and decency to follow suit.

I'm sure that there is an exemption if the club is in administration

and in the masons

are they allowed to carry on playing or is that it, shut up shop pub?

Is this going to allow the re-appearence of their manager on Question of Sport?

Hope not.

Saturday's home game v Killie goes ahead as normal, according to the telly this morning.

Is this going to allow the re-appearence of their manager on Question of Sport?

Sue Barker will be frothing at the gash.

Once they've got rid of their most valuable assets, he'll be putting his boots on again

I assume their contract would be deemed void and they will fall under the 'under no contract' rule but then that might be if it only goes completely bust.

According to the Sun (pich of salt) 8 premier league teams are being investigated for using Employment Benefit Trusts, like Rangers, to pay overseas players.

We may be safe yet if clubs around us get docked 10 points....

TMGJ clutching at straws

Just as long as we are not one of the eight, of course.

I presume these "Employment Benefit Trusts" are something to do with the whole "image rights" stuff that is often mentioned. I guess this would relate to those players who have some sort of "image" that is worth some money - that should mean none of our lot would be involved.

You would suspect that the "big" clubs with the "big" players would be the ones involved - if indeed it's true.

Either way, Rangers will no doubt be the first of many clubs that will be entering administration within the next 5-10 years

Owen's stated his preference of British players. Highly unlikely given the nationalities within our team, however...

Just a tax avoidance mechanism. Now illegal

Tottenham will obviously be squeaky clean, because Honest Harry's there.

On a "serious" note am led to believe since day one levy hasn't let red knapp anywhere near any dealings, he gives him the names and his involvement ends

It's them Jews. Not as daft as they look.

They used to be, now they get in line with every other fucker.

They have been more trigger happy with the winding up orders since that came in.

Further proof that Harry's a liar.

Harry said Levy would have never appointed him if he thought he was dodgy. Yet he's not trusted with any of the financial details.

I'm going to start a rumour that you have to get circumcised if you sign for Spurs.

Fuck 'em, I hope the rest of jock fitba goes bust too

It's sad to witness the demise of Rangers but the Murray and White knew exactly the risk they were taking. This may prove the final death knell for scottish football.Despite my allegiances to the Bhoys I really do feel sorry for the Rangers' fans as I know that could easily be us in 12 months

In fairness to PG, I believe he has a little more business acumen than previous BWFC chairmen

For one , you don't get appointed to the FA board and director of wembley stadium without rubbing backs and greasing palms

If he continues to put BWFC as his first or second priority ( after himself), then I don't have problem with that

We don't punch above our weight, we don't sign ridiculously over priced players

We don't pretend to be a BIG club, as per WHFC, SFC,AVFC,NUFC

We haven't got a massive fan base

We live within our means

And as a supporter who has been through the lean years Div 4, DIv 3, Div 2, Div , Championship !!!, every year in the Prem is a glory year

Yes Rangers were cheating the system, and the fans, and every other club in the Scottish league by living beyond their means

But the Scottish league is and has been a farce for years, in fact more years than I care to remember

But the real shame lies with HMRC that have allowed a football club to receive preferential treatment over valid businesses that employed real people in every Scottish industry that has gone to the wall!
