if the storm had come across the  Atlantic and hit Ireland it would have a English name...but because it hit Spain first and travelled north it was called  jorge

How safe is your area wrt flooding?

I know that I’ve ranted about it before but the driving in this weather is fucking ridiculous. Way too fast. There’s lakes on the motorways. Saw the aftermath of a horrible looking accident on the other side of the M60 near Audenshaw. Merc estate had gone backwards into a flatbed on the hard shoulder destroying the back end of the car. M60 been shut few hours now. Only a guess but aquaplaned and spun?

Was on there earlier, you couldn’t see 10ft in front of you because of spray, didn’t stop people doing 80mph. Saw a load of cop cars and ambulances going the opposite direction so I assume it was bad.

Drove to Liverpool and back earlier, awful conditions and still a handful of wankers in repmobiles thinking they can handle it.

Fortunately most of the M62 is 50mph on that stretch which is a godsend in this weather.

Assuming it’s fatal. I went past about 2pm and it’s still shut. May not have happened the way I described of course but got to think that speed and the rain were involved somehow

Whoever is responsible should be sealed in concrete and left in the nearest bridge

For me, folk driving too close is a massive issue. Irrespective of the weather.
