Mounts Kipper Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 (edited) Gartside said we had planned for relegation, did he not think our 3 star players would be poached? let's see what cunning plan he has up hIs sleeve now, Gartside, Coyle should have been fired in November, you have royally messed it up. Garrp Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 im not one for saying something defintely cant happen no chance though stu really is one of the good guys Quote
DIPS Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 We're going to Fukd even more if Chungy and Stu decide to leave. Quote
THunter Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 (edited) We'll have to get used to these sorts of headlines. Now we're out of the Prem our better players are seen as fair game by the press. FWIW I can't see anyone coming in for Holden just yet. He's had one game in over a year. We don't know if he'll ever get back to the player he was. And yes, he does come across as a cracking lad. DomRepWanderer Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 This is the kind of press we need to get used to, basically it is lazy journilism, a relegated side is always easy meat for fuckwits in the media, pick off all the valuable assets, then spray it about on your spreadsheets, and there you have it another non story, why the fuck I bother with my job when I could get paid a lot more by summising what could happen at certain clubs, lets just say they are no more ITK than we are. Sweep Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Any team who tried to sign Holden now would be stark raving mad, nobody knows if he'll be able to play to the same level as he did prevouisly, like CYL I would expect the vultures to start circling come January once they have proved they can perform again on a regular basis. enzo gambaro Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 To play devil's advocate, should we be pulling out all the stops to be holding on to these players who anyone else would be crazy to touch? And where does this theory about 'owing us' come from? Chungy got injured in a friendly on a non-league ground and Stuey sat out the season because we brought him back too soon. I'd expect more resentment than contrition. Wonder if Mears wants Knight to stay. Quote

Rembrandt Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 "Holden ................. only has a year left on his contract" FFS - Not another one ! We've just had that about CYL, only to find now that he ""secretly penned a contract extension last August" till 2015. And if we expect bids in January (assuming both players make good recoveries), we need them BOTH on contract extensions so we get a good deal for them. Quote
