Northender Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Grabarse has bronze for a triple tie in third. Note that the Russian, previously drunk in competition, mislaid his vest after 2.29 and was allowed to jump 2.33 in a tee shirt. Then he found the vest for 2.36. . Quote

bolty58 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Whingeing bastards crying down here. http://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/london-olympics/oh-no-weve-offended-the-brits/story-fn9dj0r8-1226444531757 Frankly, it was better when they thought we were ignoring them. Now they think we care about what they think. I shall continue to generally blank them until such time as something irresistible (like Bolton 3, Australia 2, hallelujah) just has to be delivered. MickyD Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Great to see some proper sporting role-models instead of the obnoxious twats who I've spent the last 10 years watching in the Prem. So you going to ditch watching footy and start going to Gateshead and crystal palace? I already do. Not often Gateshead but certainly the many regional athletics grounds. My point wasn't that I personally would like to go and see more sports role-models; mmore I'd like to see the folk who play football behave in a manner becoming of a role-model rather than the behaviour we are currently seeing from them; shagging each other's wives, beating club-goers up, etc. Quote

frank_spencer Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 We had this conversation before mickey. Id say the majority of footballers are decent sorts. However that doesn't make good press so never gets reported. Some of these athletes are rum buggers too. The gold medalist in the men's steeplechase Ezikiel Kemboi is awaiting trial back home for stabbing some lass who wouldn't go home with him. Quote

DazBob Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) The gold medalist in the men's steeplechase Ezikiel Kemboi is awaiting trial back home for stabbing some lass who wouldn't go home with him. In his defence though, she had probably let him buy her a drink and was most likely wearing a short skirt. Edited August 8, 2012 by DazBobParr Quote
