August 7, 201213 yr Grabarse has bronze for a triple tie in third. Note that the Russian, previously drunk in competition, mislaid his vest after 2.29 and was allowed to jump 2.33 in a tee shirt. Then he found the vest for 2.36. .
August 8, 201213 yr Chris Hoy is an awesome cyclist, competitor, and example for life He's alright for a Scotch.
August 8, 201213 yr Whingeing bastards crying down here. http://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/london-olympics/oh-no-weve-offended-the-brits/story-fn9dj0r8-1226444531757 Frankly, it was better when they thought we were ignoring them. Now they think we care about what they think. I shall continue to generally blank them until such time as something irresistible (like Bolton 3, Australia 2, hallelujah) just has to be delivered.
August 8, 201213 yr Great to see some proper sporting role-models instead of the obnoxious twats who I've spent the last 10 years watching in the Prem. So you going to ditch watching footy and start going to Gateshead and crystal palace? I already do. Not often Gateshead but certainly the many regional athletics grounds. My point wasn't that I personally would like to go and see more sports role-models; mmore I'd like to see the folk who play football behave in a manner becoming of a role-model rather than the behaviour we are currently seeing from them; shagging each other's wives, beating club-goers up, etc.
August 8, 201213 yr We had this conversation before mickey. Id say the majority of footballers are decent sorts. However that doesn't make good press so never gets reported. Some of these athletes are rum buggers too. The gold medalist in the men's steeplechase Ezikiel Kemboi is awaiting trial back home for stabbing some lass who wouldn't go home with him.

Sounds like a footballer.
August 8, 201213 yr And a Burnley lass.... I was talking in terms of letting her take me for a drink, now i know that IAMOUT
August 8, 201213 yr The gold medalist in the men's steeplechase Ezikiel Kemboi is awaiting trial back home for stabbing some lass who wouldn't go home with him. In his defence though, she had probably let him buy her a drink and was most likely wearing a short skirt. Edited August 8, 201213 yr by DazBobParr
August 8, 201213 yr What's 120mm in diameter, silver and covered in dust? The Australian National Anthem CD

August 8, 201213 yr anyone else see that mons pole vault snap, i always wondered if it could happen never seen it though it happened once to one of my all-time heroes, Daley Thompson think it was the 1987 World Athletics, or 1988 Seoul Olympics Malcolm?
August 8, 201213 yr it happened once to one of my all-time heroes, Daley Thompson think it was the 1987 World Athletics, or 1988 Seoul Olympics Malcolm? Was 1988 Olympics, cost him a 3rd gold medal in consecutive Olympics.
August 8, 201213 yr The incompetants at the Telegraph have Sarah Marshall down as a 'don't miss' today. Shame he binned it in the first round.
August 8, 201213 yr anyone else see that mons pole vault snap, i always wondered if it could happen never seen it though I'd be more worried about this happening...
