You can have my first ever plus one :)

Ill warm up the engine now

I'll ask the club driver to start the mini bus

4 mill for someone who is apparently fat, shit and not arsed

Someone rates him more than the rabble

Sounds like they know we only sell for that amount no matter how good or not the player is eh?

Might be stating the bleedin' obvious here, but there's also the small issue of whether Davies wants to go, let alone the fee (which will have to big as the BEN claims there are add-ons for Wolves).

He'll be on a decent wedge with us, Swansea don't pay big wages - and he'll know that a good start to the season and he might get a move to a better Prem club in January.

Not worried in the slightest about this. Swansea trying it on, hoping we need to sell. Seems we don't.

We should not sell, the lad will be class at this level, we've just missed out on a midfielder and are not exactly over run with midfield quality and were 2 weeks to kick off, the club should simply say not for sale, like I said a month or 2 ago Gartside will be sweating like a poker with a bad hand.

We have to hold out for double £4m and Swansea won't pay it..

Non Starter I think

I would rather keep him to be honest but if we got owt between 8-10 million then I think we would have done well.

Trading club.

I think the lads got quality, I'm starting to question his attitude to achieve, I know Coyles not the man to get the best out of him. Swansea are trying our magic number.

6M + decent add ons, cash in before it's too late

Gartside stated on twitter not long ago that the "lad doesn't want to leave" . Let's see how much he really wants to stay and much the club wants to get back to the Prem', by what happens before the window closes.

Reading the BEN report also doesn't look good with respect to Holden, Coyle considering short term loan (presumably til Xmas) to cover until his return. How fucked is he!!!

Strange one this lad, you are so split on him. How can some think he is shit, and some think he is class !?! Proper marmite player.

I don't think many think he's 'shit' (anyone with half a brain anyway). It's probably whether he's right for our team.

He's certainly not a player you'd give away for buttons, especially with some of the crazy fees being thrown around right now.

As someone said earlier, we're a trading team and we'll have a price. Can't for a minute believe Swansea is the team to pay it and pay him the wages to go.

What a difference 12 months makes.

This time last year we were doing the same to Swansea with Pratley, as they were deemed to be relegation fodder and we were building a squad good enough for a mid table finish.

I don't think anyone thinks he's shit. Opinions are mixed due to people comparing his talent (and to most that isn't in doubt) versus the actual impact he has on games.

The problem is, IMO, that for that one magical, mazy dribble there's 30 mins of him doing absolutely fuck all. It could well be that we don't play to his strengths and make him the focal point of our play. There's also the problem we've got that if Coyle plays 4-4-2 then he's not got the discipline in his game to do the defensive duties needed .. and as a team we're not good enough to carry him.

I have little doubt that a different manager could get the best out of him ... which would make us a better team. The problem is currently we have Coyle.

... and if Coyle is here for a good while yet we might as well get as good a price as we can for him and use that cash to bring someone in who CAN fit into a Coyle team.

What will be frustrating though will be seeing him go elsewhere and improving and becoming the player we hoped he'd become here.

If we get £5m + that for me is a great deal.

The problem with the perception of Davies is that people built him up in there own minds to replace the loss of Holden.

He is a decent level for Us if we had a manager who knew how to use him but no where near the standard some Bolton fans holding him up against

Did they? Holden (along with Muamba) was top of the tackling stats, Always busy, always wanting the ball, always getting involved.

Him and Davies couldn't be any more different.

Correct but people still looked towards Davies to be the linchpin of midfield regardless of the differences in style hence the problem

25% sell on fee for wolves apparently according to Nixon. 8 million it is then

Then those people are crazy fools.

Some do seem to really not like him on here. Sometimes you dont deserve a good footballer !!

Hes a decent player, a good prem player, no world beat, not even top draw, but a good prem player.

You should be looking at getting as much as possible, hard being in div1 though. £6 million would prob be about right !
