Dave Jones was out of order IMO. I realise that he was interviewed seconds after the game and he must have been fuming, but to say that every Leeds fan should be banned from every away ground is ridiculous.

Just because he got some chants about him during the game, it happens in every ground in the country, in fact the loudest chant I could hear on the tv was "Neil Warnock, you're a wanker".

As for the cunt that did that to Kirkland then yes, get hold of him, ban him, fine him, stick him inside for a bit, i'm all for that, possibly even give the rest that got on the pitch warnings or something, although I wouldn't go much further than that because it seems a lot more harmless to me (unless they end up doing something like hit a player), but fuck me stop whining about getting abuse and get over it because you'll struggle to find a manager around the country that won't get abuse from some sets of fans.

Kirkland went down easily? Really? His head jolts back from what is a forceable push with two hands into his face, a split second after he became aware of his assailant's presence. Jones was right to label the incident as a disgrace but got caught in the heat of the moment with some of his comments. You could tell he was upset at the personal abuse directed at him mind. Warnock... just a silly daft arse IMO. No need to pass a comment about Kirkland going down like a sack of spuds. I think it was Beagrie post-match who likened it to a whiplash injury and I think that's a reasonable conclusion to draw. Sickening scene that and I hope the twat gets a lengthy custodial.

So if we see you in the ground today and all start calling you a paedo will that be ok?

No i'd spit my dummy out and tell an orange warrior :blum: .

Seriously though i'm not saying that I think its right that he gets called a paedo, but surely as the manager of an opposing team he realises that things are going to get sung. Wenger gets it, Steve Bruce got it from Villa fans when he was the Birmingham manager and i'm sure there are a shit load more examples, does he actually think that every person singing it is actually stood there thinking that he touches kids?

I'm all for every aspect of racism being punished and hopefully got rid of, i'm all for the lad that hit Kirkland being banned and jailed, i'm not exactly one that encourages fans going having a big brawl with each other (although if thats what like minded fans want to do then so be it), but fuck me if we're going to ban all fans from away grounds if they sing a nasty song about an opposing manager or player then we will just end up with no away fans at all.

Plus: apology of the week

The AFC, Asia's governing body, apologising after their website listed the UAE national team's nickname as "the sand monkeys". "Our editor saw it on a popular online encyclopedia. We are sorry for the offence."

So what he did was only two thirds as bad as jumping in a river whilst some toffs were rowing boats???

Fuck me.

I'm not sure how they decide what length of term to give somebody, but I suppose it was taken into account what the dick in the river was doing endangered life (albeit his own) and what the football nobber did wasn'r endangering life, and so wasn't as serious an offence?! - maybe, possibly.
