HomerJay Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 no idea if he's any good not... cant be any worse though i guess hope feel a bit sorry for jimmy though as he must have given a very decent HT teamtalk last saturday. Quote
Flannel Truscott Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 That Palace messageboard that was linked somewhere on here. Might well be bollox. Can't remember where I read it now, but google isnt turning owt up. Not that you'd expect it to necessarily. Quote
Casino Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 i'm happy we've got good players the problem has been removed this fella apparently swears by fitness and hardwork gumbo could manage our lot Quote
Con Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 BBC now reporting that Palace have said Freedman has left to join Bolton Quote
Ratwhite Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Why don't we wait until he arrives and then give him a chance, radical thinking I know, but why not? What you said Quote
Zico Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Its time Gartside went - Lee, Megson, Coyle and now this. for me, the only mistake there would not have been sacking Coyle sooner, and he even managed to take it to the last day Lee felt like the right choice at the time, soon as it went tits up, Gartside got rid Megson wasn't popular, but he kept us up, bought some good players, then had a good season, and when it went tits up, league place wise, he got rid no one was moaning about Coyle just before the cup semi and there's them who say Gartside got lucky where Fat Sam was concerned with the long contract so not quite sure what is expected of our chairman, given he's been better than anyone else in that position before him Quote
famouswanderer Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 come on for fuck sake, who were we expecting??? no matter who gartside appointed there would still be the same old negative comments! first name is dougie dougie dougie, second name is.................. Quote
famouswanderer Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 That just crazy talk mate...lets hound him out before he starts. Like Zico hinted at,we are a championship club, attracting a top manager without a massive budget is nigh on impossible. OGS led the polls, but jesus christ folk are moaning this is a gamble?...what the fuck would you of called that. Its looking like the mans got the job, youve spent the spent the last year moaning to get the last fella out,now some fuckers are moaning about the new man coming in... Who the fuck did you want?? I say everybody shut the fuck and get behind this fella, because moaning will get us nowhere. If you expect failure, failure will be inevitable. Get a bloody grip you pesimistic fuck sticks. +1 sir Quote

When Fat Sam went that was our only chance in recent history and possibly ever to cast around for a good established manager. 3 top 8 finishes and Europe, with a decent, albeit aging, team. I'm not saying we could of got Jose, but we were attractive at that point. Sammy Lee was the easy kop out choice. Megson was a poor appointment on many levels, although yes he did keep us up. Coyle just got too long, as you say. Captainmed is still talking arse though. Quote
Bigtoe Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Good luck to the fella, welcome to bwfc. Onwards and upwards. Quote

famouswanderer Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 this tickeled me on their forum: "Gutted beyond belief, is money all that matters now days? How can you leave the youngsters you supposedly value so much, the fans ( there are none better ) to join a plastic northern dump of a club that is going no where? If there is anything good left in this ever increasingly bitter world we live in, I cant wait to see the Bolton fans crying at the end of the season as they are relegated on the day we clinch the championship." SalfordOriginal Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 If we appointed Jose, the negative bastards on here would find fault, give this bloke a chance FFS Football would be too negative under him and his win at all costs style... If we are going to win the Champions League then I want us to do it in the right style playing with 2 wingers, creative midfielders, plenty of goals along the way but more importantely respected and well liked around the world... Jose - No thank you! Quote
SalfordOriginal Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Let's get Souness, eh? I am gutted... I was going to join in "Movember" in support of the stool wobbler Quote

mickbrown Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I just don't understand it. We used to be a club that gave new managers a chance. I'm thinking McGovern, Wright, Neal. Then we sort of realised that this was a shite idea and started going for blokes with a bit of experience (Rioch, Todd, Allardyce). Maybe we'll strike gold this time eh? Quote
no balls Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Obviously rag week And a blessing at my age! Quote
