Dougie Freedman - New Manager

Bolton News are reporting that Gartside has made an approach for Freedman, but Palace are yet to reply.

The daily mail are also running this story.

Personally would give Jimmy a chance.

  • That just crazy talk mate...lets hound him out before he starts.   Like Zico hinted at,we are a championship club, attracting a top manager without a massive budget is nigh on impossible.   OGS led

I think you need some more intelligent friends...

  • for me, the only mistake there would not have been sacking Coyle sooner, and he even managed to take it to the last day   Lee felt like the right choice at the time, soon as it went tits up, Gartsid

just cos one bloke couldn't hack it doesn't mean everybody will be the same

anyway, if barber is as good as we think he'll be back soon enough, won't he

won't he?

Surely LSL, having experience of the grass not being greener, isn't a problem? Perhaps this feeling of 'possibly moving on...' refers to Jimmy, with him apparently openly declaring his interest in managing the first team full time (I've not read this anywhere, but take it on good authority). But, happen it's better to have Jimmy with his nose pushed out of joint a bit, instead of having some ill-advised management 'trio' of old-boys (and one proven failure at first team management level). I was of the 'anyone but Big Mick' school of thought - so I'm naturally relieved it's not him.

Time will tell, but I've a feeling, nay, it's a nailed on certainty, that pitchforks are already against the grinder and torches are being doused in readiness. I reckon a run of LDL in any permutation will see grey marls and bedsheets unfurled amongst the yoof. Werthers spat out in disgust by the older lot. The first one to utter "I wanted Mick McCarthy..." however, should be offered as human sacrifice...

I presume it's like any career. Highs and lows for many, form is only temporary though.

Apologies if been mentioned above, but confirmed news that Dougie Freedman won't be in charge of Palace for their game tonight.

Looks like it's pretty nailed on he's our new manager.

he's hardly in a position to 'manage them' if he's talking to us somewhere

DFSWA.

Any bedsheeters out there to welcome him?

... and especially if he's no longer their manager.

Coppell back to Selhurst Park? Should make shower time for the academy more interesting.

Quite excited by the appointment, completely different it will either be the worse thing ever or the opposite

I don't know a great deal about his management style other than that Palace were organised against us and deserved the win. At least he isn't Megson, Kean or Keane so good luck to him - if he gets confirmed as boss. If he stays at Palace, bollocks to him

looking forward to his reign.

COYWM!

They're already debating the various merits and shortcomings of (arse)Ole Bummer Sexwee-ar on Holmesdale.net :) Some wags are taking it in good spirits with light-hearted suggestions like Harry Redknapp, Paul McCartney and Jimmy Savile (Although I think that scouse psychic channeling him would be more appropriate).

Freedman out............

I don't know enough about the guy to judge so for that reason i'm out

But if he does well then i will back him all the way but if he doesn't he can fuck right off

That's the spirit!

He's not ginger!

Bastard, I'll have to edit the song sheet I'm passing out at Wolves tonight.

Song 1

Jimmy Phillips' Doogie Freedman's Super White Army

Song 2

Jimmy Phillips' Doogie Freedman's Super White Army

Song 3

Jimmy Phillips' Doogie Freedman's Super White Army

Song 4

Jimmy Phillips' Doogie Freedman's Super White Army

Song 5

Jimmy Phillips' Doogie Freedman's Super White Army

Song 6

Jimmy Phillips' Doogie Freedman's Super White Army

Is he coming on his own or bringing his own men in ? If he fronts a coaching staff with JP JD and SL it's onwards and upwards for me.

Welcome aboard .

Will he be at Wolves tonight sat in the stands to be picked up by all TV and press cameras?

The poster on that link who said " He is Still Tactically inept" was the one that sent a shiver down my spine. Think this appointment will spell the end of the fat prick from Leigh.

Fuck me they're as paranoid, insular and backward as our lot

Don't like this appointment; not because I don't like Freedman, I just DON'T KNOW if he's any good or not

I don't think it's the right decision, but I'll back him until he deserves otherwise....Doogie Howser's Super White Doctors!

I will be happy if we keep out own coaching trio in the First team set up, I wont be impress3ed if he brigns his own men in

Bollocks to em, thats football.

aye

they need to know their place

the big clubs, like us, do this all the time
