The role of the big one upfront is no longer to be a target man. Its to stretch the defence, make runs, open gaps for the midfielders coming in.

 

Kevin Davies is up there with the best in being a bolton legend, but its becoming laughable the number of times an attack breaks down purely because he cant control or pass.
