Have the other fairies given the ball back to the opposition as many times as him? Petrov would have a better rate if he played the amount of games he plays.

 

Petrov is just as big a fairy and there is a reason why he has had hardly any game time. He has had 3 managers to impress this season and none have stuck with him.

Petrov doesn't make out he is anything else, he does a job and delivers and end product. He also doesn't fallover grabbing his hamstring every time hes tackled and at least stays on the wing as an outlet. Where eagles just prances about everywhere basically giving the ball back to the opposition.

Granted they need to improve a lot. They have the ability to be light years ahead of eagles. They need a run of games to get some form and confidence back. I think lee is on the way back already.

Petrov has had 3 years to justify himself for a regular starting position and has failed to do so.

I do think he wastes a lot of good team chances and possession with bad decision making too though

 

Without his goals and assists we'd be struggling, but maybe, just maybe, the team results would've been better??

My thoughts exactly. Not tacklers, but know how to handle the opposition tackles & tacklers.

 

And I've never seen Messi backing out of a challenge yet, not going down at the first sign of a challenge.
