The ball is landing between 2 defenders, Knight completely fucks up his attempted header. I think Bogdan is entitled to leave this up to them. Plus, unless he's psychic, he doesn't know where exactly it's going to land until it's too late.

Alonso is technically good but the has no pace. Hes fuckin painfully slow. Thought he played well but he will always struggle against pace. I think he could play in midfield sat in like Campo did for us. Hes a far better player than keith Andrews, not sure what he brings to the team. Thought everyone played well except Eagles. He needs a spell on the bench. He thinks its the Chris Eagles show shooting at every opportunity. Hes not doing the basics right at the moment. He kept drifting to the middle and it made us lose our shape at times. Petrov is a better player but doesnt get a run in the team. Eagles thinks hes undroppable.

No doubt in my mind that ultimately its Bogdans error, Zigic actual has to dive for the ball which means he heads it at waist height 2 yards inside the six yard box if Bogdan had come for it following the flight he would have caught it before it got any where near Zigic head, also there were no players between the goalkeeper and the ball so he did not have to go through traffic to get there, I'm not trying to pick holes in Bogdan as in general I don't think he's a bad one he just needs to gain more experience.

Can't believe that after Saturday there are still those saying Andrews brings nothing to the team. Thought he played very well just in front of back four, broke play up continually nothing flashy but effective. Not a bad penalty taker either.

 

Birmingham weren't very good but I didn't think they were any worse than Barnsley,Ipswich or Wednesday who all took points off us at home recently. For me Spearing, Andrews and Pratley made the difference and allowed our flair players like Eagles and Chungy to be more effective as well.

OK, I can accept that. But then, seeing as we don't actually play a formation to accommodate the "Campo" role (and haven't since Campo left), isn't this discussion completely moot?

Says a lot about the atmosphere, but could hear him shout 'keepers'. The ball in was a very good ball and hard to deal with, Knight misses it and Mears could not hold off Zigic.

 

Having said that it is a header from within six yard box we talk a lot on here about weaknesses in the team but when a defence has no confidence a keeper it makes life very difficult, I remember not long after Jussi came into the first team he was dropped and came back better for it, I think Boggers could turn into a decent keeper but not if his confidence goes.
