Bolton 3 Birmingham 1

Doing this whilst the negative mood is in the air.

After today's pantomime performance and us showing festive spirit(or drinking large amounts of it),i'm not one bit optimistic for the visit of

Jasper Carrot's favourites.

Dougie Freedman will know his honeymoon period is over and somehow needs to mould his shower of overpaid underperforming shower of shite into an effective team unit.

Atmosphere will be flatter than Mavis Riley's chest, crowd a disappointing 16,780 and i'm not even attempting to second guess the team selection.

6-1 to them with hat-tricks for the Francis twins,Kev and Trev.

Stu gets our goal

Had a bastardnuff of this dire muck being served up

Kevin Davies may be past his best, but when he plays we won't have spineless surrenders like last Wednesday & he dominated the B/ham defence today. As others have said, Pratley was very good toda

Certainly thought ream, mears, alonso and pratley had their best games for us today. Skd was very good as was chippy. Spearing was always available. Only negative for me was eagles, kept trying to do too much. However, they were poor, but can only beat what's in front of you. Leeds here we come.

Never thought of that comparison, interesting!

another game where donkey davies has failed to score

Did you go today. Skd was excellent.

Did you go today. Skd was excellent.

no i didnt, but next season when i look at the stats of played 48 scored 2, i wont give a fuck about a performance especially when we are still in this shit league

im getting worried we might make the playoffs and go up.

Cant we stay here for a few years?

I know several ST Holders who are simply not bothering today.

I've not decided yet

If I DON'T go, and we lose 42-0, will my opinion that we are very shit still count though...?

No.

See on paper that 3 should be strong enough to keep Eagles and Chungy free to play.

Doogieboy, as I call him, took my advice on board last night in the saddle after 18 kronenburg.

i hear pratley had a blinder

This... Without doubt.

His time as come...............

Skd, ream, Andrews and pratley were superb

Lee and alonso had good spells

Eagles was terrible

Thought we looked fragile today. Good performance, but could easily have fallen apart if they had shown a bit more steel.

Need to build on this and get our confidence up.

Really?

Our first goal. Every fooker arond me, and including me, were moaning out a loud, get the fooker forward - attack! Then 10 seconds later it was in the net. DF is trying to install patience in the team and us. It worked for that goal. But it isn't going to work all the time. Question is, can we, as fans, put up with it? Can't see DF changing.

PS. Pratley had a blinder. Long time coming.

Now then, if DF can get a tune out of Sordell.....who knows.

PS. After watching 82min from my normal perch in the WSU, I drifted to ESL for last 5min (to ensure a lift wom), Did DF walk over to this section applauding to appreciate the support or note a huge "nest" of booers!?

Anyway.

Alonso over Warnock all day long.

Pratley, same again Tuesday (best reader of SKD flicks I've seen)

CYL +1

Andrews (20 min in first half apart) superb mopping up and doing th shitty stuff job. Aloud JS to look composed, same again at Leeds

Ream.............................. At last

Yes to the last question. DF KNOWS HIS SHIT.

Sordell is over rated. 2 bolton managers have seen this. And the Watford manager has, and sold him. I wish every fooker would just wipe Sordell from their memory banks. He's done nothing and will proably do nothing in the future.

I like alonso, the bloke. I like his attitude and his willingness to get forward. Seems he has goals in him too. but by fuck he can't defend for shit and he's so slow its comical.

DF is a long long way off proving he knows what he is doing today changes nothing on that score.

Alonso had a decent game today, mind the oppositions RB wasn't up to much so never pressured him.

anyone know the condition of the scoreboard, has it survived?

The oppositions fullback was a past it left back two seasons ago.

Did nt realise who it was for first half hour.

Alonso will never be a decent full back, even at this level, didn't do enough to prevent the cross for their goal (as usual), only good thing was at least he knew it and was mas at himself for it. He's a handy little knack for appearing in their box and getting a goal though and might be a half decent left midfielder if he had a steady left back behind him. Ream did better today, attacked the ball a bit more, though didn't have their biggest, most physical player up against him for much of the game.

SKD laid on Chungy's goal, had nearly created two more before that and dominated their centre backs throughout the second half. However old he is, however he's lost his pace and however few goals he scores, we just miss him when he doesn't play and we are better when he does

Alonso was 22 yesterday, some of the positional and tactical elements should improve with experience. Has enough technical ability not to be written off yet.
