Bolton 3 Birmingham 1

Doing this whilst the negative mood is in the air.

After today's pantomime performance and us showing festive spirit(or drinking large amounts of it),i'm not one bit optimistic for the visit of

Jasper Carrot's favourites.

Dougie Freedman will know his honeymoon period is over and somehow needs to mould his shower of overpaid underperforming shower of shite into an effective team unit.

Atmosphere will be flatter than Mavis Riley's chest, crowd a disappointing 16,780 and i'm not even attempting to second guess the team selection.

6-1 to them with hat-tricks for the Francis twins,Kev and Trev.

Stu gets our goal

Had a bastardnuff of this dire muck being served up

Kevin Davies may be past his best, but when he plays we won't have spineless surrenders like last Wednesday & he dominated the B/ham defence today. As others have said, Pratley was very good toda

Mint back heel Choc Chip?

Random, but if Andrews and Petrov are on at same time, who takes a pen, both never missed for us.

at least that soft fanny cunt eagles aint doing them

What was it like, did he flip flap it in?

Why don't you try going to the games??

He made an England goalkeeper look very bad

Better performance, better atmoshphere, better result.

bore off.

He beat 5 men put the keeper on his arse then back heeled it in.

You should have been there for a change

We dominated the game today, pratley had a blinder and gave us a bit of fight in midfield. Alonso did well, lee's goal was quality. Plenty to build on.

Bit better still enjoyed the beer more we still need a new team but whatever the weather Douglas do not play 442

2/3. Didn't experience any atmosphere.

Thought it was a bit better than recently.

Much improved performance. Pratley, Ream and Alonso all did well.

Let's make no mistake about it though, Brum are fucking terrible.

Will Dougie now stick with a winning team though, or will the tombola machine be used for Leeds?

Frank Worthington's pre-match talk in the LoV was embarrassing. 'Twas a bit sad really.

Pratley was the difference

Would've thought it?

Did well, showed a bit of what a few others could do to offer now and then, commitment and selfless hard work for the team. Dodgy first touch and a few wayward passes, yes, but overall a bit of what's needed in this league.

We need to give this team that actually played well a chance now and play them again at Leeds. Despite how shite weve been the playoffs are not out of reach. We would be in the playoffs now had we not lost back to back to the two shittest teams in the league.

Hopefully Dougie has a few signings lined up as well. Good to have a happy day today for a change

Did he stumble across his best team today?

Good game, some of our fans booing with less than 15 minutes gone, cocks.

Looking forward to seeing Chungys goal again.

An unlikely competition for mom between Alonso & Pratley. Pratley had his best game for us by a country mile & was my choice. the atmosphere was a little better than it has been recently too. Bogdan could & should have had their first goal, but he doesn't seem to want to come off his line. Other than that, they were shit & we were quite good.

Spearing

Andrews

Pratley

Birmingham must be shitting themselves.

Good spot.

Did he stumble across his best team today?

I hope so! A win at Leeds would be massive and put us right in the playoff chase. It will be tough but it could be the turning point if we can get all 3 points.

Good spot.

Reverse psychology

And it worked.

They need me and Anewman on board as motivational leaders.

Lee goal very nice.

Penalty well taken.

We need to move on from this.

But, like my girl says to me most weeks "We are not as good as you think we are this week, and we are are not as bad as you thought we were last week".

As others have said, Pratley was very good today....not so much for what he did with the ball, but for the effort he put in & the ground he covered. He got up supporting SKD, made intelligent runs that shifted defenders around & then turned up as an extra man in midfield.

Andrews & Spearing controlled midfield sensibly, & both Lee & Eagles made useful contributions.

I still wouldn't fancy Mears, Ream or Alonso defending against decent opposition- B/ham were pisspoor -, but i liked the way we got stronger ,& better & better as the game went on.

Hurrah

Thought no-one had a poor game today - reverse of what I hear about last Wednesday.

Spearing MotM for me. Pratley, Alonso, Ream all better than usual - more prepared to get in first for the ball. Andrews improved. Lee picking up a bit of form. Not sure why SKD was picked as MotM again, tho he was influential after his first 15 minutes of being outmuscled for the ball.

Better performance, better attitude, obviously better result, and better appreciation from the fans because they could see the team putting more effort in and trying to play more football.

Much better afternoon than I expected. Glad my relatives persuaded me to go now. BUT we need to build on it, and not go into another 3-4 games poor spell.
