Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Not sure he'll make it to Wimbledon. Quote
Guest Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Its a shame for him. But he should take solace in the fact that he's achieved everything he could have ever wanted to. Grand slam winner, Wimbledon winner, world number 1, Two olympic gold medals. When he started and even 5 years into his career he was told none of that would ever happen time and time again. A man so determined to achieve his dreams he broke his own body and went through the pain barrier. A legend in my eyes. Quote
L/H White Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 it's a great shame, should be at the peak of his career now he would have won so much more if it weren't for being in an era with, Federer, Nadal & Djokovic, who are the 3 best of all time Quote

Hes lost realistically maybe 2 years of his career. But at the same time, has nothing left to prove. Quote
Farrelli Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Gutted for him. Amazing career achievements and one of the best sportsmen we have ever produced. Quote
Not in Crawley Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Woah hang on here, have we not forgotten his frankly disgusting lift etiquette? Deserves everything he gets. And more. With extra flip flops. Quote

Breightmet Boy Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 He'll be able to wear a Portugal top whenever he wants now without upsetting his sponsors and agent. I respect him as much as his rivalry against the English, not a lot. Quote

No point playing on for 6 months when you aren't competitive and you risk being unable to walk by the age of 40. He has kids and a huge life ahead of him. He's done everything in the game he could possibly want to given the circumstances. Wimbldeon organisers should let him play a farewell exhibition set on centre court during the championships if he wants to. But he should risk doing more damage now. Quote
Farrelli Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 He is going out fighting. Fitting end to a great career. Quote
