jmjhb Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 (edited) Great stuff, really back in form after struggling for a while Martic or Vondrousova in the SF - a real chance to reach the final. Edited June 4, 2019 by jmjhb Quote

She's got decent records against all prospective opponents. Hope she wins it. Quote
Farrelli Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Konta has properly blown that SF. 5-3 up in both sets and could not get over the line. Shame. Quote
Farrelli Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Rafa Nadal - 12 French Opens. That is an amazing achievement. Federer, Nadal, Djokovic now have 53 Grand slams between them. I think Andy Murray was very unlucky to have had to deal with these three. Quote

One of Murray's Wimbledon finals was against Raonic so he had a nice and easy Liverpool style final that year. i refer to the Scouse cunts getting to play Hamburg, Bruges and Tottenham in 3 of their CL finals. Thiem gave Nadal a tough match for 90 minutes before it all became a formality. He;ll probably win the French when Rafa declines but i don't think he's the next great. Quote

AM has lost quite a few SF and finals to the three of them though. Thiem looks a good player, I think his mammoth match with Djokovic was a factor. Quote

jmjhb Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Thiem is excellent on clay, once Nadal retires he'll pick up a few French Opens. Hasn't done much of note at the other Slams though. Quote
Guest Posted October 20, 2019 Posted October 20, 2019 Andy Murray has just come from a set and a break down to beat Wawrinka in the European Open final. With a metal hip. Less than a year ago he was told he’d likely not play again. Britains greatest ever sportsman? It’s a yes for me. Quote

Twitter going daft with the Scottish nationalists complaining that he’s being tagged as British. On a serious note an utterly astonishing achievement and says everything about him and his determination. Second to none in my lifetime in that respect Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 20, 2019 Posted October 20, 2019 Forgot he was playing. Saw a bit of his semi, looked good, then had a wobble before coming through. Sounds like he's getting some of the fight and ability back. A what point will be scream "FREEDOM" Quote
