superkev Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 You can claim that for every goal that goes in, should have claimed it. At what point should he claim it? Here's the goal, DP21 is outjumped. There is no real danger but Bogdan is in the right place to stop any header. I've drawn where the ball goes, at what point should be claim it? When it's 15ft in the air? Spearing on the post doesn't make any sense as he's a stump. Bogdan jumps with his arms up, they should have been outwards maybe. To state he should claim it is nonsense, unless we are going down the old "he should take everyone out" 1970s style? Yes he should have taken everyone out 70's style Quote
superkev Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 He wouldn't have been able to claim it but could have gone for punch imo. He seemed to hesitate just slightly as though he thought he was going to bump into spearing. Should have done better for me. Quote
Carlos Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 He's fucking miles from it! It's not humanly possible to get from his starting position to the ball. Quote
jonnycooper Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Lonergan in:::::::::::::::Bogdan=Sub Quote

mixumadness Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Come now. As we are all well aware, if you want to see an instant improvement in form, the only sensible way is to hurl incessant abuse from the stands. The abuse should become progressively louder until the player finally has a good game, at which point you may bask in the glow of self righteousness. gotta say this made me laugh out loud and he's got a point Quote
Zico Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Its Andy Townsend and his tactics truck That was fucking dreadful that, a perfect example of how itv are shit at football Quote
MalcolmW Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Yes he should have taken everyone out 70's style ... and thereby conceded a penalty? Bogdan is regarded as the number one choice. If he was going to be dropped then 3 days after an international match could have been the time. It didn't happen, so it won't happen - at least in terms of form. Lonergan has had only limited opportunities but can cover if Bogdan gets injured. That's what he's there for. Quote
MalcolmW Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Are you on drugs or blind? Of course it was his fault! He's no presence in the box, he just stood and watched it be put in the net. Should of claimed it! Perhaps you should work on your grammar - or perhaps not. Quote

That everything includes getting something on the ball. Quote
Carlos Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Same way it's a foul if you go through someone, irrespective if you take the ball? Quote
Smiley Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Bogdan doesn't fill me with any confidence. Quote
mickbrown Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Bogdan doesn't fill me with any confidence. Or me. Mind, the lad can't fill himself with confidence, nevermind any other bugger. Quote
marple whites Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 (edited) Been impressed with lonergan and the defence seem more at ease when he's playing. Edited February 10, 2013 by marple whites Quote
GeorgeOghani'sIroningBoard Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Burnley and others have worked out that a ball played in between 6 and 15 yards out at catching height will not interest Bogdan. The look on Dawson's face the first couple of time yesterday was one of horror. Hardly surprising with Bogdan behind him and Knight alongside him. A good Gudni bollocking on the pitch always settled Jussi down, alas we have nobody close to that. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 The look on Dawson's face the first couple of time yesterday was one of horror. Space cadet. Quote
jules_darby Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Space cadet. To be fair Dawson turned and bollocked Bogdan early doors as spotted by Gumbo and I Quote
enzo gambaro Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Did he have a look of horror, though? Quote
frank_spencer Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Ah the good old Bolton disease of the guy on the bench must be a world beater. Lonergan made some cracking saves v sunderland but he doesn't fill me with much confidence with crosses etc. Bogdan whilst still learning now will be a good keeper for us for many years IMO Quote
jules_darby Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Did he have a look of horror, though? My specs are good but..... Quote
jagermoot Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I think he should go back to hogworts and make some clean sheet spell Quote
jagermoot Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Is craig gordon still a free agent? Or has he packed it in through injury? Quote
Breightmet Boy Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 He's in a similar mould as Jussi, his distribution of the ball and communication with team mates needs working on. At fault with Saturdays goal, not at all. His positioning was perfect from the corner floated over to it hitting the back of the net. Two defenders next to the player who headed it back across, then possibly the smallest man on the pitch was covering the post where it goes in. Bogdan spread his body Schmichael style to try and stop it. It was the wrong man on the post and the two defenders not putting enough of a distraction on the player who headed back across goal IMO. Quote
Ani Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 As a young keeper jussi was dropped and branaghan came back into the team. Bogdan IMO needs a break. How can he build any confidence at the moment ? As for the goal look at the picture Carlos has posted the goal scorer should be marked I think by alonso who is ball watching. He is more to blame.
