That first 10 minutes was just all out surreal, scoring with our first three attacks and hitting the post with our fourth. Certainly shows Dougie CAN mix up his tactics if he sees fit.

 

Must admit we seemed unnecessarily nervy for the last 20 minutes of the first half, and we only really picked up again second half when Hull pulled one back. I know it would be a huge task to maintain it for 90 minutes, but the way we played for the first 20 minutes and after the fourth was the first time we've really played like a Championship team (in the most positive sense), pressing high up and the field and forcing Hull in to mistakes, while managing to retain our shape and counter attacking quickly.

 

Not the finished article but any stretch but a bloody good start all the same. The first goal was as good a move as you'll see anywhere all season.

Was quite funny when he pole axed George Boyd and he didn't even have the ball! But will be a walking red card unless he cuts that out. One decent pass out sticks in my mind but I think it will take time for him to acclimatise!

Spearing played really well as did Chungy and Davies. Pratley was my MOM, his chasing and harrowing were exactly what is needed at this level

 

Sordell was garbage (bar the strike that hit post). He looked pissed off when he was taken off but you just need to watch the match video pal and you wil understand why

 

They looked shit, bar that Brady lad who looked half decent

 

Frustrating thing is that we should be up near the top of the league tonight if we haven't fcuked up against the likes of Barnsley and ipswich

Played some decent stuff but we could have thrashed them if we didn't play well within ourselves for the lat 82 mins. Seriously though, the opening 10 mins was the best football we have played since beating Liverpool last January.

 

Chungy and mavies linked up well, Pratley worked his bollocks off, Ngog looked like a pest when he came deep too. Sordell was disappointing but he got booted from pillar to post too.

 

Dawson was MOM for me, he even makes knight look a better player too. Medo I thought did what he had too - pick up the pace of the league and observe, nothing special but nothing bad either today. Great to see Wheater back too.

 

Oh, and how bad was Meyler (31), he'll have knightmares of chungy and mavies today

Mavies is on a different level to 99% of this league, when on song.

 

I just wish he would do it for 90mins

What amused me most was that at 3-0 we were saying what will the booers boo now, then a hull player goes down on edge of the box and they were off, proper loud and seemed to be the usual lot, they really do must go to the match with a lot of pent up anger and just let off whenever an opportunity arises
