Breightmet Boy
Better than Meat Direct? Not a chance, my pal is a very busy man indeed for being great at his job. His vans are always out and about, big big big Wanderers fans too
Moderators Carlos Posted September 9, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 9, 2013 I bought some chicken from Meat Direct and it tasted fatty, can't describe it, not water shit but I'd guess frozen. Wordsworths butchers for me.

no balls
Prosecco Superiore at Aldi. £7.29. Recommended. As earlier mentioned, we did the taste test with Tescos and I'm going to say not. It has less taste to it, that's the only way I can describe it, This was a test of 4 hardened prosecco drinkers on Saturday
Youri McAnespie
That's because Aldi Prosecco is, in fact, Lambrini, well, not even Lambrini - Lambrella. Â I've been in the factory and all that is different is the bottle. Â Oh, and the cork, and the label...
Traf
... 4 hardened prosecco drinkers... Â Â Do you know how wanky that sounded?

no balls
Whilst we were being prosecco wankers we reckoned Sainsbury's deli tapas type stuff is better than Asda and Tescos. I suppose it is down to taste though.
Traf
indeed. hence the  Actually, wanky was a very poor choice of word, sorry.

Youri McAnespie
What does Delia know about tapas she's from Norwich and she's probably half-cut most of the time?

Traf
Similar prices so I will say no to that. Â So has JS reduced their prices or have Tesco et al increased theirs? Â JS used to be the dearest "mainline" supermarket.
Sweep
The only folk who really believe that the cheap stuff is the same as the branded stuff are those that buy the cheap stuff. Â Correct, but you will always get somebody who claims it's all made on the same production line and it's only the packaging and price levels that are different and that the actual produce it identical. Absolute bollocks.

When you get to the till, if your stuff would've been cheaper at Tesco or Asda you get a voucher for the difference. May I just add it does sound like I spend a lot of time in supermarkets. I don't, honest

Fair play to anyone who can go in a supermarket and spend less though   I'll wager Youri can get a weeks worth in trolley and still have change from a £20 note

Absolute bollocks.   It really is not.  Another example (apart from my Sprout investigation), Harrods sell some exclusive Biscuits at around £10 a box. They are made in a factory over Nelson way I think, other Supermarkest buy the same biscuits from them, but use their own packaging....sell them at half the price.
