Think the British media do a great job of hyping it up. Eddie Hearn called it the biggest fight in British history. That’s all well and good Edward but if your fighter is getting his clocked cleaned then history won’t be made. Fuck the hype, best two men is what we deserve to see. Money always wins. Matchroom which is owned by Barry Hearn and ran by Eddie has just signed a massive tv deal. If you are signed under matchroom you’ll fight under DAZN which is an American tv channel which you pay a monthly subscription to, and if it’s PPV then you pay more for that. Sky and BT are also paying DAZN to be able to show their fights They have it wrapped up. Then if a matchroom fighter fights a top rank fighter (aj vs fury for example) which is Bob arums company, in theory you could have a fight on three PPV channels, DAZN Sky and Showtime and PPV in America is best part £60. The money is huge. They’re all waiting on that next young star to come through and whoever that is is going to get seriously paid. Quote
