Groves is like Haye, Fury, Khan and many other Brits. All gob and hugely overrated because they draw attention. He's a bit too good for this Euro level but the next step up has already found him out twice and most likely will do again.

Was a good fight that Groves one

He's still far too open though so he's destined to bob around this level until retirement.

He draws a healthy crowd so will be around for a while

Like our footballers, our boxers can be overhyped/overrated, but I think Haye is - just about - better than that.

Was simply too small for a heavy, truth be told.

Well yes he is an unfortunate size but I don't remember that affecting any of his heavyweight displays particularly. He even rocked Valuev with one of the about eight punches he threw all fight. And boxing at cruiserweight didn't save him from looking silly against Thompson or Mormeck.

What staggers me with him in particular that people believe him. I won a lot of money when Klitshcko beat him because the bookies had it about 4/6 as I recall when it should have been nearer 1/8. At least he only lost that fight against Vladimir whereas he'd have lost his faculties against Vitali.

All fair comment but he was still a world level fighter, all in all.

I'll have to admit, I believed in him - or at least I thought he could give Wlad a bit more to think about than the fat punchbags he'd been feasting on. And he did. Nowhere near enough to be competitive mind you.

Bellew v Cleverly is on - 22nd or 29th November at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. Presser is next week on Wednesday - if its 22nd, I might just wander over instead of going to Blackpool

Eubank /saunders looking in doubt.

Thinly veiled attempt at steering another thread into more bollocks about Everton.

It's off, real shame as i was looking forward to it.

Smith vs Abraham - good fight, spoilt by the judges scorecards

Why do they have fights in Germany It's a fuckin joke, terrible decision

What happened with Paul smith?? Heard the judges got it massively wrong

Score cards were bad, but i dont think he did enough to win it.

Watched the fight today.

Like Pablo says he probably didnt do enough to win,but the cards were a joke.

This kind of shit ruins the sport.

personally i think him getting the shot without ever winning a meaningful fight is just as harmful

always the victims...even his trainer didnt think he won

Yep, touch and go if he's even top 5 in Britain at his weight and has got a title shot because it's his turn and he's quite old.

Not even best in his family at the weight.

He makes some belting jeans though.

Bellew - Cleverly on for 22nd November in Liverpool. Blackpool away first, should be a cracking day/night!

PPV

they are taking the piss.

cunts

That is madness, needs some big undercard fights to make it anywhere near PPV worthy.

I'd expect a very good card to be announced - then sit back and watch it all fall apart near the date as per usual

Nathan Cleverly v Tony Bellew
Eliminator for world cruiserweight title

Scott Quigg v Joseph Agbeko
WBA world super-bantamweight title

Jamie McDonnell v Walberto Ramos
WBA world bantamweight title

Anthony Joshua v Michael Sprott
Final eliminator for British heavyweight title

Callum Smith v Nikola Sjekloca
Final eliminator for WBC super middleweight title

Degale, Quigg and McDonald in massive  tune up fights

Joshua v Skelton

its a quality sky card

they can fuck off ppv
