Smiley Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Aldi have a 2012 Chateauneuf du pape for 9.99 and a 2010 for 14.99 I shall report back on the cheaper of the two later, if I can be arsed. Got 3 bottles of the dearer one yesterday - will be served on Xmas Day. Looking for some recommendations for whites and reds at Aldi and the likes. Quote

Winchester White Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 The missus came home with a Parra Alta Argentinian Malbec from Tesco that was on offer. It is actually good, seems a bit better than the last malbec I had from Aldi. Quote

miamiwhite Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 got some decent ones from tesco today. and as i'm off until the 6th,it'd be extremely rude not to start on them right now. wrapping presents now whilst sampling a fine offering of Kumala Eternal,Western Cape Merlot Cabernet Sauignon Shiraz. 14%,not bad at £5.99. loads of packing to do,so may attempt 2 bottles. whoever gets the last few presents, they'll look like they've been done by a combo of Edwards Scissorhands and that raygun with the claw hand Quote
Zico Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 it's a Wirra Wirra wine Sounds like a bad Cilla Black impression Quote
