Sweep Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Be interesting to see what he now gets given he is managing a company that has significantly less turn over than a couple of years ago. I presume we will find out soon enough when the annual accounts are published. It would also be interesting to see how his wage compares to that of others in his position in this division. I would imagine he will be in the top 5 Quote
Danny G Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I work in town and finish at 5, I think I will go over and hurl abuse Quote
DazBob Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Would you let them sponsor your caravan Jazza? Nice aviator Parrp Quote

How do I quote somebody quoting someone else? This post makes no sense without the context Edited May 30, 2013 by Pie Eater Quote
tomski Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 and my favourite: I used to heat seal them chupa chop logos on the shirts. Quote
frank_spencer Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Just had a thought. Perhaps the design for the kit adidas had come up with was that minging they realised that they could have Th'ospice as a sponsor, with 100% of sales going to the charity, and still an fucker would buy it. Quote
Ghana White Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Isn't there an element of playing to your market. Reading are sponsored by waitrose we get quick quid. I don't like it but the time to complain was when we got sponsored by a bookmakers the moments gone. I'm vaguely disappointed but I've got more important things to worry about Quote

Big E Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Yeah, run the club into a 130 million pound black hole during its most successful period since the 50s. While enriching themselves massively in the process. Clearly financial geniuses and just the kind of people we should be entrusting our future to. But carry on. Are you saying BWFC doesn't and hasn't benefitted from a leading member of the FA being chairman. This isn't Sunday league football this is a business. Quote
Didledee Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I doubt we'll sell many shirts with that make on the front, be just like having netto. There are some real shite kits next season, Cardiff's is the daddy of shite though, they're not happy at all. http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=113868 Quote

Danny G Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Dougie will be expecting 3,459.7% effort from his boys next season That will increase to 4659% the week after unless we pay him back with 3 points Quote
Didledee Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Diddles, if you could have any Sponsor for us, who would it be and why? and can you design a mock up? Summat decent like Coca Cola, Pepsi or Samsung, or have double adidas like we did with Reebok, the adidas logo will make the shirt more 'sellable' instead of yet another ugly and orange(whyyyyyyyyyyy) logo. I said before I've not transferred stuff to this computer yet, can't be arsed anyway, my designs were better for a fact, actually last seasons was alright, though I didn't think red stripes was the best choice and it was spoiled by 188bet's idious logo Edited May 30, 2013 by Didledee Quote

Didledee Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Summat simple can look so damn good, along with PSG's new home I like this out of the new kits I've seen, although Brazil won't ever wear it. Edited May 30, 2013 by Didledee Quote

Durks of Langho Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I must admit I really cannot see the point in all the anti shirt sponsor campaign. The contract will be signed, the shirts will be printed and boxed and trying to remove a cheque for £500K from Phil Gartside's kung fu death grip would be particularly dangerous. Quote
Ghana White Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 To be fair wolves have got whathouse as sponsor. That's acceptable great club top chairman Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Speaking of Kung-Fu, and saying Diddles is shying away from Photoshop. My choice would be - Someone after brand awareness, that people would ask "Who are they?" and one that the players all no doubt unofficially endorse regardless... If they're not up for it; Brut, Old Spice, Burley Sport or Blue Stratos would do - failing that, Insignia, the old school one with the triangle. Quote

At this stage I think it's more about registering displeasure than actually thinking things will change. At least now the media stories about the deal generally mention that most fans aren't best pleased about it Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Googlng for an image, using the terms "insignia afterrshave 80s" - I came across this image: The advertising slogan for the telly and radio campaign was: "When Nigel's going on the hunt for cock, he splashes on Reo..."
