November 15, 201312 yr So we're being outplayed (1st half) by a team who haven't even qualified ? Still, it’s only a pre-season pre-tournament game, and we don’t want to risk injuries. Anyway it’s only a cup competition we’re talking about. And we haven’t got a full-team out ……. Ooooh …….. spooky. Sounds like déjà vu. Bound to be better 2nd half. The last time I thought England had a chance of winning anything was 1990 and 1996. Just like I know Bolton will never win the premier in my lifetime and probably anything else given my age England wont either, but both are my teams and and it gets a little weary when some take great delight in putting down their own. BTW its a good game and Chile will give most a stiff test as they proved in 2010. All in all a good choice of opposition. Edited November 15, 201312 yr by bgoefc

November 16, 201312 yr It took Clive Tyldesley 47 seconds to mention Manchester United tonight. You've got to admire his consistency. Oh, and Andy Townsend is a cunt too.
November 16, 201312 yr Author Nothing game having a look at other teams in the tournaments style, don't want to peak before the tournament

November 16, 201312 yr Rodriguez really isn't international class, Lallana neither. and this is why many players just dont care about playing for England. Why should they, when this is the support they get !?! Nothing like giving lads a chance, and time to adapt. You know nothing lad.
November 16, 201312 yr and this is why many players just dont care about playing for England. Why should they, when this is the support they get !?! Nothing like giving lads a chance, and time to adapt. You know nothing lad. Well said. I see no reason why these lads cant make it. Good players with plenty of time to improve on their side.
November 16, 201312 yr "Rodriguez really isn't international class, Lallana neither" Bit of a sweeping statement that diddles seeing as the class of international sides varies so much. They are as good as the majority of english options out there at the moment. Just possibly means the england team isnt great as opposed to them not being good enough for it
November 16, 201312 yr Okay well I wasn't not showing support, I was simply giving an opinion, I could lie and not say what I thought, so I'll try and remember that next time. They got a chance because it was a friendly, they're not in the same excitement or gifted league as Townsend, so I doubt the type of player they are would start a meaningful game and if we didn't have injuries. If you see their game offering something to England, then who would they replace and what would they offer that the person they would replace won't? FWIW Lallana at least tried things and could have got a couple, JR did nothing. Doesn't make them rubbish, just didn't see anything that impressed me, I don't see them having an international career unless of a lot of injuries, just like I didn't when K.Davies got his 1 cap. November 17, 201312 yr Lallana isn't as "gifted" as Townsend? Lallana's feet are twice as good you clown
