Sweep Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Can't believe that cunts not been sacked yet Really? - I think he'll be here for a while longer yet, as I doubt we can afford to remove him Anyway, have you revised your thoughts that we might beat Forest 3:0 in the play off final Edited January 20, 2014 by CWP Quote

Rembrandt Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I'm totally confused. I think we have too many players who aren't performing and maybe don't care, but I'm struggling to believe that other managers never face this situation & yet sort it out. This is where DF's lack of experience comes into it IMO. The idea that DF will come good once he gets 'his own' players in - well, I'm struggling to believe that. I've seen no signs so far of starting any basic team building even allowing for the sh*te he's inherited. We've had 'tinkerman' instead. We're 4 points above the relegation zone, playing poor football in most games, with no confidence or self-belief, and DF has just made it public that (effectively) they're mostly a shower of sh*te and we need new players. I thought we were in danger of a relegation battle a few months back; it's just got a lot closer. I've seen my last League game till April - just Saturday's FA Cup tie left. Hopefully we'll be a few points further away from the relegation places when I'm back at the Reebok. I'm also depressed and angry, but I've been through this twice before and I can cope. Quote
EyesRight Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 This would be my list. STAY GK - Lonegan GK - Bogdan LB - Tierney LB - RB - Baptiste RB - CB - Mills CB - CB - CB - CM - Spearing CM - Mark Davies CM - Medo CM/AM - Pratley AM - Danns AM - Chungy AM - Hall AM - Moritz AM - ST - Beckford ST - ST - ST - Fucked off list N'Gog Eagles Knight Mears Wheater Ream Craig Davies I agree with most of that but I'd get rid of Bogdan, if we could get a fee for him, and then look at signing a younger back up or promoting from within if possible. And I would keep Ream, he's stood out as our best player in CM and CB this season, and has looked comfortable at LB. Albeit he did have a nightmare on Sat. I'd have him sitting in front of the back four when he can be a bit more creative and any mistakes mean he will have people behind him. Spearing and Medo can't cut it in this division either, they are too small, they get shrugged off by anyone over 5'10". I wouldn't be getting rid of them but I think they are more suited to higher level football and could well attract interest if touted around. Quote
passmosster Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 How did basically this squad get 36 points in the Premiership just over 2 years ago? They would have got more than 40 with a decent manager. Reading on the other hand looked completely out of their depth last season. Perhaps the Championship is more physical, but it points to only one thing for me. Freedman and his entourage are seriously underperforming. Quote

gonzo Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 That article in the BEN...superb. Garrp...spot on. I think the writing was on the wall re Dougies feelings towards certain players after Blackburn away. Like Casino says...how the fuck did it come to this? Quote
Zico Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Ream I don't rate, I think he gets away with an awful lot of fuck ups because he's very good on the ball. I presuming he isn't on THAT much, just from the story that he was on peanuts in America and that he nearly dropped down to League 1 with Bristol City in the last transfer window. Saying that, it really wouldn't be all that surprising if he was on shed loads. this were the one that did the rounds no reason not to think Coyle wouldn't offer him that much or go straight in with a 30 times your wage deal http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2085875/Bolton-tempt-Tim-Ream-deal-worth-30-times-salary.html Quote
Zico Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Like Casino says...how the fuck did it come to this? poor management from Coyle's summer camp to now Quote

I think the writing was on the wall re Dougies feelings towards certain players after Blackburn away. Like Casino says...how the fuck did it come to this? The general opinion a couple of weeks ago was that we could still make the play-offs. Football fans are fickle. If we win our next League game, everyone will be describing Saturday's game as a "turning point", and we'll be on the up again. If we lose, Saturday's result will be "the straw that broke the camel's back". Edited January 20, 2014 by Cheese Quote
mickbrown Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Reading between the lines and seeing the results as they are I would say that, internally, Dougie has told the players that he doesn't want to work with them a long time ago and that they've been playing to get a move in January. ...................... If this is the case then he's a bigger eejit than I gave him credit for. Quote

COYW Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 if he's 'lost the dressing room' why wouldn't the next bloke he's gonna have to get these millionaires playing for the club that will be fcuking em off in june if its all about attitude, don't tell me the next manager won't get the same treatment when he does something they don't like how the fcuk did we manage to assemble such a number of these ungrateful fcukers Maybe they're not 'ungrateful', they're just disillusioned with the clown in charge. glossopWANDERER Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 How the hell has freedman got so much support to stay given our position? Why are so many wanting to give him until 10 games into next season. What good will it do exactly? Quote

Farrelli Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Obviously DF was going to take a hammering this week but I am most angry with a group of players who just don't care. They have no character at all. The heads go down so quickly it is embarassing. At one time being dropped from the team was a humiliation and you could rely on the dropped player fighting for their place back. This lot couldn't care less as long as they get paid each week. I am glad DF has told them what he thinks of them. We are being taken down by a lazy bunch of wasters who are sulking because they have been told some home truths by their manager. Quote
jules_darby Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Maybe they're not being managed properly? We're they lazy wasters when we were on that run last season? Quote
Rembrandt Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Where you off too? No, you really don't want to know, Mounts. Not while it's so cold & wet here. I'm off to see friends who live in the sunshine a long way away, going the slow way & coming back the long way. Lots of warm weather & blue seas. I'll have my netbook with me, so I'll be able keep track of events at the Reebok. 'Nuff said. Quote
