I know Freedman has said he picks his teams based on the strengths of the opposition but 3 weeks before hand!  Its no wonder some of his decisions are baffling.  How can form be taken into consideration?

Unfortunately though, there are other factors taken into account when it comes to team selections that have finiancial implications, and explain why some players don't play, both senior and the promotion of youth.  Not sure though if they are Dougie's calls or whether they're due to instructions from above.

I'm sure that if there's 2 games in a week then Freedman decides early who plays in which games dependant on injuries. Always with the emphasis on rotation for the attack and midfield players.

But actually deciding his team at that point I highly doubt.
