Mounts Kipper Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 With what money? Can't see him costing much he's out of contract end of this season and at 31 his value is only going down not up reckon Celtic would accept couple of hundred thousand. Quote

Pretty sure Celtic don't need to sell. If they aren't under financial pressure, no reason to cash in for peanuts. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Pretty sure Celtic don't need to sell. If they aren't under financial pressure, no reason to cash in for peanuts. Commons is out of contract at the end of this season and Celtic know he's not signing a new one and that the current Celtic manager not really got him in his plans the best solution is to move him on and as he's coming up to 32 he's not going to command silly money, for all these reasons I think it's likely to happen the only sticking point is if someone offers him more money than us and a 2 year contract but I can't see a long list willing to do that. Blondi Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I heard that Commons was looking for a 2 year deal and 18K a week, whether we could afford that, well that's a different matter. Quote

jagermoot Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I read on a post that someone suggested we should put a bid in for ravel Morrison as big Sam is willing to let him go for free. Says a lot if a guy who can sort out doufie can't sort out this lad. No doubt he's a talent, but not sure if he'd come back north for footy after all the alleged shit he's done up here. Not sure if it's been mentioned already, apologies if it has. Quote
SalfordOriginal Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 It is likely that he would jump at the chance to move back to Manchester however the reasons why he would, should be enough to put any one off signing him Quote
MalcolmW Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Clayton's elder brother is a striker for Nantwich, and was at Crewe before that. His dad was also a striker fror Crewe - and Darlington in a season they dropped out of the FL. Quote

I wouldn;t have thought we would be offering that kind of wage for any player in the near future, especially one that will have zero re-sell value Quote

Not sure why, but when I read your posts, my head reverts to reading them in the voice of a stroppy 10 year old. No idea why - and just your posts for some reason. Funny old world. Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Anyone know anything about this feller? That article isn't the greatest bit of journalism He looked a good prospect when he first came through at Hearts but I've not seen too much of him since he joined The Rangers so he's not even played in the SPL for three seasons so I'm not sure how much that has affected his development as he's 25 now I think.
