Traf Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I think Lennon's found the missing key to the drawers in the manager's desk at the stadium. He's now reading Allardyce's transfer blueprint. Quote
Didledee Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 K.Davies or Heskey? Eidur yes, but Heskey? erm... Quote
tomski Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Lennon has shown he can get the bestout of players. He may do so with heskey or may not and then he won't sign him. Nowt lost. Quote
Casino Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 K.Davies or Heskey? Eidur yes, but Heskey? erm... kevin davies has been finished 3 years heskey might be finished nowt wrong with finding out Quote
worthy10 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Lest we forget, NL has polished what is entirely DF' turd. I very much look forward to a team with a few NL personal choices! Quote
BWFC_LOVE Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Ex Leicester teammate, wants a move back to England and doing him a favour by letting him train here. Can't do any harm having a look at him while he's around and it's highly unlikely we'll sign both Heskey and Eidur. Lenny can do no wrong for me as things stand, so I'm fully supportive of any links we have. Quote
wayne cramp Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 re- lennys links , if the name robbie savage cropped up , i would still pray it was the the little guy who used to show us his arse ! Quote
burnden Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I hope lennys links prove to be better than dragging in washed up players Quote
Ratwhite Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I hope lennys links prove to be better than dragging in (experienced) players Quote
Guest Blixa Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 kevin davies has been finished 3 years heskey might be finished nowt wrong with finding out True enough. Davies on the box against the non league team in the cup a few weeks back was borderline embarrassing. Can't see Heskey signing a deal with us, but who knows? I'll be honest, I can't be arsed throwing any enthusiasm in either direction. We're doing well, I just can't get angry even at Heskey potentially joining us that's a good sign. What does Nixon say? jagermoot Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Can you imagine the meltdown that would be if Dougie was in charge and was trying to sign heskey?! The internet would break Quote
Zico Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Can you imagine the meltdown that would be if Dougie was in charge and was trying to sign heskey?! The internet would break aye, based on the fact he mostly bought in shit, and made us shit, so you'd naturally worry what he was going to do next to compound our misery, once or twice you might be pleasantly surprised, but it didn't happen NL has mostly done good, so we trust him Quote

Arrested development Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) We haven't got lots of cash to throw about so having a look at free agents makes sense. Lennon knows Heskey personally so I'm going with the theory that he's training with us for fitness, rather than him being looked at as a potential signing. Having said that maybe Lennon sees the Craig Davies type as the striker he wants to use and is looking for someone to bring on later on in games to give Davies a rest. Mason can't really play up top by himself,Beckford is a lazy useless twat and there isn't really anyone in the squad other than Craig Davies that suits the one up top. Heskeys job can't be to score goals, because he hasn't done that regularly for years. He isn't going to be the guy to come on if we are one down with ten minutes left. But if his job is to come on when we are in front with fifteen minutes left and hold the ball up, help us keep possession, bring lee and Clayton into the game, then he could do that job. Maybe that's why Lennon wants to look at him. Craig Davies is now our undisputed front man, and deservedly so. Heskey is an available big man who maybe can do the Craig Davies job under certain circumstances, provided he's not completely past it. Edited December 4, 2014 by Arrested development Quote
COYW Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Heskeys job can't be to score goals, because he hasn't done that regularly for years. He's not done it in the Premier League, the Championship might be a different matter. Quote
jagermoot Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Apparently, players that have partnered heskey upfront have said he is one of the best partners they've played with as of what he does Quote
