jules_darby Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 The guy who helped get the deal done is the same Chris Evans who was assistant to a certain Ginger prick. He was even more hated at BWFC than Megson And that says a lot Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) Palace also want £2m for Murray. What they want and get for a 30/31 year old just back from a serious injury are 2 completely different things. If we pay anywhere near a million the juke non-signing becomes even more baffling. Hopefully it's a loan given the injury and his age. Edited August 7, 2014 by Mounts Kipper Quote

Not really, the Juke price was more than a million and probably most of it upfront - and he gets to play in the Premier League. Quote

Sweep Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Didn't it work out about 2.25 Inc add ons? I thought it was £2.5M including the add-ons - either way, it was over £2M. I would imagine that Burnley would be able to pay more at the minute as well. So if the buying club has offered more, and the personal terms are greater, then there was no chance of him coming here really, no matter what maximums might have said. Quote

Ani Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 The most tedious part of next season will be the usual suspects on here mentioning Juke every time we have a bad result. The boring fuckers A team in a higher division paid more for him and on a bigger package than we could afford get over it. Quote

jules_darby Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Exactly It's hardly as if we've said "Juke? Nah you're alright". Now if he's spent the available funds on others that then out to be crap then fair play, they are fair game for criticism, but that really doesn't seem the case Juke was ace in many ways for me but he's gone now and was but a tiny fleeting fragment in our history...a Florent Laville if you like Move on now Quote
White Shirt Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 @SimonThomasSky: Sounds increasingly likely that a swap deal involving #BWFC Chung-yong Lee & #NCFC Anthony Pilkington will happen Quote
Big E Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 i'll be made up if he goes i will fly back to drive him. good player but not the right make up for the championship Quote
Garrp Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 don't want him to go but would take him for Pilkington just hope Pilkington is over his injuries Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 i'll be made up if he goes He will be one that goes on to do well elsewhere, yet is struggling here, Quote
Casino Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 or maybe the players around him arent good enough it is a slim possibility either way, fcuk off, i've seen enough Quote
tylswhite Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Will probably free up a nice chunk of wages if the swap happens. I cant see how chungy fits in at the moment anyway tbh so its no surprise. Cant see Pilkington being brilliant but I reckon he can match Chungy's contribution. Quote
Casino Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 He will be one that goes on to do well elsewhere we'll see yet is struggling here, and has done for years nowts changing any time soon Quote
L/H White Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 You need some fight/bottle/aggression in the N Power Championship Chungy has neither Wish him well like Thanks for Birmingham, Chungy Quote
kent_white Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I've liked that Pilkington when I've seen him. Been a long time since Chungy has imposed himself on a game. Might work out well all round. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 we'll see and has done for years nowts changing any time soon Aye, suppose I may just miss singing about eating Labradors Quote
