Hypothetical situation Tomski:

 

We sign this Wilson lad on loan all season, he scores 20+ goals which helps us get promoted.

 

He then goes back to United and as he's out of our price range and they sell him on for £15m.

 

We've done them a favour and made them some money but ultimately we've got our reward by getting back to the premiership albeit we now have to find a new striker.

 

Would you still not like that we've developed someone else's player?
