tombola and pob

im aware most potential deals don't see the light of day

i can still believe that much of what nixon writes could well be bullshit

easily passed off by his twitter apologists by 'ah, do you think every deal happens'

well one thing I think we can all agree on is when he names a player he's the first to name that player or break the story

ie the chungy/pilkington deal which was his piece in the paper last week.

so when they don't sign, it was a guess/made up story and when they do sign it was just one of his guesses being lucky?

I'm pretty sure that if he says we "are" signing a player he is usually (if not always Garrp!) right; but by then it's normally elsewhere too, so he's not telling us much new

If he says we are after someone, he's not gonna get it right that they sign; as has been said, loads happens in the mean time. However, it of course then gives room for artistic license. And for someone who is trying to shift papers, it'd be absurd for us not to think he hypes things up or gets even the rumours of who we're after wrong

IMO he's worth following and reading; just don't take it as absolute gospel and you won't end up crying into your tetley

It's better than not having him there surely

Nixon does get stuff about us right so he must have some sort of connection to us somewhere.

When he doesn't have anything decent to go on he just makes stuff up though, which is what pisses me off.

how many times does a deal he chucks in actually happen?

fwiw, good luck to him dealing with the mongalongs who hang on his every word as gospel

My main problem with him is the stories that he wont release the name, we dont sign them, but he says he has to keep the name quiet, in case we go in for them some other time.

Wouldnt be surprised if that happened with these he's on about now.

Well, on the topic of nixon, he says we're not likely to have anyone in for watford. Which isnt a surprise.

Also said kane will play a part at spurs, wickham will probably play prem, but the striker we want is better than bamford/ guidetti. Don't think it's wood either as he's said loads are in for him, whereas we seem to be trying to sneak a deal through.

I genuinely have no idea who that leaves who fits the clues, but apparently they're known names.

I have a sneaky feeling it might be the lad at West Brom - Beraihino or whatever he's called. Burst on to the scene but don't think he played much back end of the season

Good shout and that'd be a good deal IMHO.

Not much of a target man though, he came up on my football manager search for tall and young though.

wickham, altidore, kane, berahino, bowery, wood, vokes, bamford, sanogo

another one that he tried to get before he hit the prem last year and why i'm pretty happy he'll turn something up

Will you please revise your search to include "hungry".

I'd be very happy with that. Can't see it mind. But who knows?

Guess Tyls?

From a Munich mate who is has been ITK in the past. He might be mugging me off but he seemed pretty serious and this fits the bill of the mystery player which he didn't know about so it would be a big coincidence I reckon.

This young striker we are after is James Wilson from the scum. Scored 4 last night in the senior cup final.

No doubt that will have some whoppers in outrage, if we take a player on loan from them men

They are one of,if not the biggest and best run football organisations on the planet.

I'd take the tea lady if I could.
