Gypowatch

Leverhulme Park. Dozen or so caravans and gazebo's galore. Park run should be interesting.

*Jazza not spotted.

My old man says how can you trust a country that's two most famous exports are gypos and Dracula.

He's got a point :D

I'd say Jazza's Bird runs them close

There's a proper gypo been staying for a few weeks in a Romany type caravan just before Clitheroe.

Anyway, he left last week and the only way you could tell he's been was the horses had sorted out the long grass and left manure.

They must hate the fucking pikeys giving them a bad name

Genuine question that's puzzled me: where do they get their water and dispose of sewage and other waste?

I kept wanting to stop and ask. I saw him once washing from a bowl and wondered. There's a farm near so maybe them?

Double they not just shit in the street like the rest of them?

They've gone from Atherleigh, the site doesn't look too bad, a few bags of rubbish lying around bot nothing too bad

Was their slim bin full?

A couple of bizarre but true facts here R.

Gypos wash in vodka....and they are credited with being the first known folk to post shit through letter boxes. They did this originally to householders who wouldn't buy their offerings of clothes pegs and lucky heather.

Hence the phrase " don't shit on your own doorstep"

Bizarre but true.

Magnificent!

Reckon I'll set up a still- distill my own parsnip wine and swap it for a thin layer of tarmac on my drive

Substitute turnips for parsnips and you're on a sure fire winner mate.

Some have appeared near me on Freeport last night then they moved to Fleetwood road playing fields near the golden eagle.

Apparently there's big wedding somewhere and that why there's a load appeared.

We've not had the feral bastards residing in these parts since I was a kid. They had a pitch in Marton a while ago but that's miles from me.

I'd happily set fire to the whole lot.

So would I

Councils are obligated to provide sites for travellers yet they don't want to use them

Instead they turn up wherever leaving empty gas cylinders and all their shit behind

I can see the potential in a sleazy horror flick combining the two - "Gypula", set in Bacup. At the end, instead of driving a stake through his heart, council official Van Th'Elsing (Peter Cushing) refuses his child benefit claim and the council get the police in to move him (Christopher Lee) on. In revenge he turns into a bat and claims environmental protection, but the coconutters have other ideas....

Quality this.

The Coconutters would kick fuck out of them.

You're my wife now, Dave.

Looks like they love Breightmet, they're back for the third time this summer. Must fit in.

Never bother us here in the hills. They are frightened of the locals me thinks, either that to the altitude!

I dunno about that, I was up behind 'Brownstones' (Collier's Row) today, admiring the view, what a view too, couldn't help but notice they had presumably anti-tinker measures in the form of piles (rubble and hardcore) to prevent roosting of paddymobiles...

Last time they left loads of rubbish, bin bags full by the side of trees and loads just scattered across the grass, saw police and Bolton council cars driving onto Leverhulme but they still come and stay.

There is no point having an allocation for them in the town as

a) they would have to pay to go there

B) they wont know where it is

c) there is no way of securing that much land

d) it would be monitored and people cant stay "off radar" as much

At least they've set up outside the ideal company to clean up afterwards.

Seriously, what kind of a fucked up existance is the life of a pikey? A self perpetuating life of misery. I just don't get it.
