November 10, 201510 yr I am no expert on passenger jets or surface to air missiles so am happy to be proved wrong; but the idea that a pilot of a charter plane decending into Sharm airport saw a missile on radar and banked left to miss it seems pretty implausible to me. Me neither, but air to air missiles are comparatively small and presumably manoeuvrable. A surface to air missile capable of reaching the necessary altitude is one big cunting missile. Happen a pilot might be able to take evasive action
November 10, 201510 yr No way an airliner could be manoeuvred out of the way of the kind of thing that knocked the Ukrainian one out of the sky. In fact it wouldn't have a chance at 60,000 feet, never mind 30,000.
March 19, 201610 yr Think theres less chance of you dying playing Russian roulette than being on a Russian aeroplane.
March 20, 201610 yr Think theres less chance of you dying playing Russian roulette than being on a Russian aeroplane. In yesterdays case, it was an Emirati registered, American built aircraft flown by a Cypriot and a Spaniard. More a case of Russian weather.
March 20, 201610 yr Kin ell. Missed the runway? It came down at a 45 degree angle! Thought that. Missed the runway suggests it had a try That cctv footage looks more like it plummeted in more of a Germanwings style..
March 24, 201610 yr Does this mean Sanny G was wrong and it's not been taken to a US airbase in the Indian Ocean?

March 24, 201610 yr http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35889305 1 question - how does this guy find a lawyer? Shouldn't be given one. Just tortured for info and released from 30,000 feet over the mid Atlantic.

March 24, 201610 yr Shouldn't be given one. Just tortured for info and released from 30,000 feet over the mid Atlantic. Apparently this was a favored method of the Argentine military Junta, to dispose of political dissidents.
March 25, 201610 yr Channel 5 must have been having a mooch through this thread, they're having an air disaster night tonight. Morbid bastards!
March 29, 201610 yr Plane hijacked? Update - Reuters: Three airport security sources say passengers on hijacked #Egyptair flight #MS181 include eight Britons and 10 Americans
March 29, 201610 yr How the fuck do you manage to get on a plane with explosives strapped to you? My mate got to Benidorm with half ounce of Harrold Sniffman up his jacksie. JSL
March 29, 201610 yr These hijackers are missing a trick when they let women and children off first. Leave them on as they are easier to fight and get the rugby team sat at the back with the cans and inflatable woman off ASAP.
