August 14, 201412 yr And Pulis plays free flowing football does he There can be a balance you know. Strong units good on the counter attack. We are weak as piss and shit at any kind of attack.
August 14, 201412 yr Wouldn't want pulis, can't stand him. Dinosaur of a manager. That's what the press (and West Ham) said about Allardyce. Would say Arsene Wenger have kept Palace up last season? Horses for courses, Pulis at an unfashionable club is one of the best managers around. Stoke were everyone's tip to go down when they first went up like Palace last year (now Holloway is a manager I don't rate, Garty would probably go for him). He gets the best out of what he has, doesn't over think/complicate things like a certain manager we all know.
August 14, 201412 yr Pulis will sit tight until some Prem League chairman panics early to mid-season, sacks his manager, then offers him big bucks to do a salvage job. Will not come here or to any Championship club.
August 14, 201412 yr Entertained? I get entertained celebrating goals. Goals win games. Winning games, wins bragging rights, wins bigger crowds, wins better atmospheres, wins promotion, cup runs, European trips etc. That's football entertainment. Dougie's 'controlling games without possession' wins fook all.

Will not come here or to any Championship club. You're right but we can only dream of some kind of deliverance from this mon. Just waiting for Saturday with Lonergan, Ream, Medo, Pratley & Beckford probably all starting before I throw the towel in on him. Best case scenario looking like we muddle through to end of season and let him walk at the end
August 14, 201412 yr I would prefer ANY manager who has a plan (good / bad / other) that the players believe in and buy into I can't remember that happening in years. The teams we have put out have shown confusion / apathy at their role or position, some have been accused of having bad attitudes etc. but I don't think it's that simple. You work with what you've got, all the best managers do.
August 14, 201412 yr Read a decent article on that kind of thing earlier on a different Wanderers forum. Lacking a real football identity on the pitch.
August 14, 201412 yr But to fill a squad full of players who show blind faith in the system and are happy to be dropped and treated like they should be grateful is something fans and managers may clamour for. Maybe Ferguson / Paisley were like this, maybe Freedman will come good. I don't see a place for it in modern football, the players with talent haven't got the strength of character to let themselves be treated this way, even by their own parents. Once again with our manager I genuinely hope I'm wrong.
August 14, 201412 yr Met a few Palace on holiday. They fuckin idolise DF. Amazed them when I said we think he's fuckjng useless. A golden opportunity to right their perceived wrong. DF back to CP and do everything possible to get the Welsh club shop wearer to BWFC. Would be as pivotal as the appointments of James Armfield and Ian Greaves IMO. He wouldn't come though? Lifetime supply of free kettle elements?
August 14, 201412 yr And Pulis plays free flowing football does he Don't give a flying. In your face football will do for me. Would be an outstanding appointment IMO but, being serious, he won't come here.
August 15, 201412 yr Tony pulpiss, no thanks, I would rather have tony Kelly At least he has effinity with the club

August 15, 201412 yr Tony pulpiss, no thanks, I would rather have tony Kelly At least he has effinity with the club Aye, like Owen Coyle. Having an affinity with a club is garbage. Most of the world's successful managers never kicked a call for the club they managed.
August 15, 201412 yr Shit me, TalkSport presenter just suggested Dougie Freedman as a possible replacement That would be amazing! I sent a text to my mate who's a Palace ST holder (a few of you have met him) - I said "You can have Dougie back now" and his response was "Would love that to happen" I don't know what to say to that Edited August 15, 201412 yr by CWP
August 15, 201412 yr SMS'd my mate down here with a similar comment. The response was 'oh yes please'. He is, however, gutted at the news of Pulis' departure but they certainly love Dougie.
August 15, 201412 yr I prefer winning football first and foremost so any manager that brings that gets my vote. If entertainment comes with that from time to time then thats a bonus. Id rather be a set of ugly dirty bastards and winning with everybody hating us again rather laughing at us like they are now. I want people to dread playing us again. Exactly right.
August 15, 201412 yr I don't like Pulis at all and I think the reason is his association with Megson and Stoke City. That said, I actually think he is the type of manager we need to stand any chance of winning games and getting to the top of the Championship table.
August 15, 201412 yr I remember in the 90's the likes of Swindon would get promoted to the Prem get all the plaudits as playing football the right way be relegated that season while all the managers that praised them pick off their prize assets.
August 15, 201412 yr Think Pulis would be great for us. Guardian reckons he walked out as he was fed up of the wage constraints and the chairman and the sporting director were foisting players on him. Doubt if he would come, they also say Malky Mackay has been installed as the favourite to replace Pulis, because of his close relationship with said sporting director who was at Cardiff with him.
August 15, 201412 yr I read 08 to 13 his net spend was 90m, 4th highest club over the period. He definitely has expensive tastes. Not sure he is a great match for us even if his mate didn't put him off
August 15, 201412 yr He certainly likes to splash the cash, so that's one reason he won't be coming here. We also currently have a manager who isn't going anywhere, so that's another reason

Not sure he is a great match for us even if his mate didn't put him off that's a great point i'd love him to tell us to fuck off because of the treatment of megson and then listen to the boo'ers explain their way out of that one.
